This is absolute bull****. The only difference between AZF's glance and the other teams' is that he happened to look at a time when the information is relevant. EVERY team should be penalised if one is. Afterall, what was he supposed to do- act like he didn't see anything? Pretend he didn't know where they were? That's impossible.

The fault is Riot's for putting the screens where players could see them. The players should be in separate rooms from eachother, without any visuals of anything but their own monitors... and no sound. It's just ridiculous that you're running tournaments this way and then punishing players for seeing what's clearly projected near them. Yes he had to turn his head, but so did all of the other players and you're literally basing whether or not they're punished for the same rule breaking on luck. "They each stepped outside the field but only one got a touchdown for it, so only he gets a penalty." Ridiculous.

If you think a witchhunt caused by NA forums raging is going to make esports more legitimate you're insane. You know damn well this was Riot's fault and punishing the players with such a massive fine is ****ing disgusting. I hope GD is happy with the 'professionalism' you're displaying. It's what they deserve.

Good job guys.
I'd still love to know WHY you didn't save the team-audio. And I hope one of you will shed some light on this.

Those are penalties within the confines of the game itself. Holding in football, as an example.
But cheating, like say, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Sox, is very serious. 8 players were banned from playing the sport, and the event was so controversial they invented the Commissioner of Baseball position specifically to penalize cheaters. RIOT fines.

so.. if one violates rule and get something out of it, it deserves punishment while
if one violates rule and do not get something out of it, it only deserves warning?
I think even though the game is gonna restart, looking at the screen deserves a punishment, 20% price deduction. Looking at the screen and knowing where the enemies are gives u the idea where the would be heading or what kind of plan they will use. TSM's original plan
was to all rush top and kill someone from AZF. Let's say the AZF had the same plan.
They were all rushing top or bot. Then the game suddenly pauses and its gonna restart. However, Dyrus sees AZF all going at bot during the pause time and the game restarts. Now, even though the game restarted, Dyrus gets a hint where AZF is going to be( all top or bot). So TSM can easily invade or counter. However there could be another case. AZF do not rush top or bot. Now, Dyrus knows they arent going to all come top, and TSM can execute their plan without any risk, which gives TSM an advantage to get EASY FB and delay their loss.
If both TSM and AZF all rushed top, the game could have turned out differently then what TSM expected. However, by looking at the screen in previous game, TSM had the advantage to get EASY FB by cheating if AZF didnt cheat.

Completely stupid.

What is Riot doing to ensure this never happens again? Booths?
What is Riot doing to ensure that no commentating or fans are making it through the players' headsets? Booths?

All Riot is doing is telling us that they're doing a good job at rewatching the games when in fact they've done absolutely nothing to rectify the actual problem.

-1, gg, Riot, no re

so you think just because riot set the stage up horribly, that the players shouldn't be held accountable for their actions?

There's a major difference between looking at the screen where nothing hurts the game and when everything gets changed because of it
