Requiring the players to look directly forward does not mean they cannot gain information from the screens.

Averted vision is the capacity of certain people with high levels of cones in certain parts of their retinas to be able to see even more clearly when using a technique involving peripheral vision.

It is not fair to place the screens in view at all, some players can gain advantages just from the information they get with their peripheral vision. How do you think people use their minimap in the first place, they aren't looking at the minimap back and forth they are using an aspect of their scope of vision, the same can be applied to information gained from peripheral vision.

Good to know you got it under control, im just shocked that it happened so many times, this REALLY shouldn't be an issue and I hope that in the future you learn to avoid giving players even an opportunity to cheat.

Why even have giant screen that the players can look at? That is just asking people to look behind them.. I am glad they are monitoring but as its been said before the penalty isnt that much if they advance deep into the tournament

Hear, hear.

Considering how long eSports has been around this is such a basic flaw it's almost inconceivable.

Why does the community have to be the ones to catch these things? Seriously...

Or, you noticed and took no action hoping nobody else would notice.

I think what you aren't understanding is that allowing cheating in any way, regardless of whether or not the team in question "gained a significant advantage" or whether or not it determined the winner is a problem.

What you are basically saying is "cheating is ok up to a point". As if there is some fine line between cheating and real playing that we all have to walk. It's truly a ridiculous standpoint. What you've done is establish a precedent that Riot will tolerate cheating and give a slap on the wrist but nothing of real consequence will happen unless it was a blatant egregious game-winning display of cheatery. This is a dangerous precedent to set.

You should really just replay the whole tournament without the stupid placement of the minimaps.

One way or another, Azubu Frost cannot be allowed to win the biggest prize and esport tournament in US history. (I'm not saying that they're the only ones who screen-looked, but they are the only team that Riot acknowledged cheated and gave a penalty to).

Shameful really.
