Hey Guys!

Thank you for bringing this issue to the Help and Support Forum! If you are experiencing an issue where you press the giant glowing orange button that says "PLAY" and then nothing happens, this can leave you sitting at your computer, staring at your monitor for endless minutes waiting and wondering if it will ever pop up. Because of this, i can understand how frustrating that can be.

Please keep in mind that this problem is most often caused by a failed self-patch of the patcher. Although we are working to resolve this issue there are a steps you can take to hopefully resolve this issue:

The first and most common solution is to force the patcher to repatch itself. You can do this by deleting this folder:
C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_launcher
If you chose a custom install path, the folder may be in a different location.

Many players also fixed this problem by disabling the UAC(Windows Vista and Win7 Only)

- Be sure to use the "Never notify me when:" setting

However, if you have made sure that these steps were completed, and you are still experiencing issues with the Log-in Screen not appearing, then please do not hesitate to let us know by creating a new Support Ticket* so we may work with you one-on-one until arriving at a full resolution!
