I don't see why not, is there a certain reason why Riot doesnt sell runes for RP?

because runes give an advantage, and that would mean anyone with money could buy power... LoL isn't a game wherein that is possible, which is a good thing

Because they don't want you to be able to buy power.

Champions are considered balanced, but runes are flat stat increases, thus power

There isn't much reason to disallow it. You could very easily buy champions with only RP, get IP boosts, and have all of your IP going to runes. In the end it's just getting you to the same place as everyone else faster (just like buying champions with RP doesn't get you better champions, just champions faster).

It's not selling power, because they are available to everyone.

It would be selling convenience.

No, it's selling power. Period. Always.
As it currently stands, everybody has to play to earn them.
If you add the ability to pay for them, you'll split that into pay2win against earn2win.

RP-purchased runes would be no better or worse than IP-purchased runes, just like how RP-purchased champions are no better or worse than IP-purchased champions. You just get them faster.

If "getting things faster" constitutes pay to win, they need to get rid of IP and XP boosts and RP-purchased champions. Selling these allows a person with cash to bypass the grind and get things faster.

It would be selling power if people without money couldn't have those runes. Since that isn't the case, it is illogical to think that being able to buy them with real money is buying power. The only difference between the two is I would be earning my runes by clocking in at work instead of playing the game.

Last I checked, I earned my goddamn money.
