yeah as long as annie can drop tibbers and stun half their team while chunking them for half their health she will be useful. she may not be tourny worthy, but she isnt bad.

No range if you play her as a boring AP anyways, AD annie has the highest caster attack range.
you are better off playing ad cait...

It's kind of hard to only look at the champion she's up against in lane, because she's so easy to gank.

Questions like this can be answered at http://www.championselect.net/champ/Annie Try to avoid GD about help with champions because most of them are 1300 elo. Take everything with a grain of salt and from your own experiences draw a conclusion combined with the upvotes/downvotes you see on the website.

that;s what AOE stuns are for -_- I just watched a 2k elo annie carry a game
doesn't make her viable in touries. Solo q doesn't mean much. I have seen scarra carry games with ad kass at 2k elo on his smurf.

It's odd how the "favorite" champions you see all the time change so drastically even if no major changes happen to them. I remember Ashe used to picked just about every game and isn't anymore. I blame the pros, people like to play the champs the good players are picking.

I think shes played less partly because in the current metagame there are many champions who have very good escape/counter mechanisms so she cant snipe champions in mid as easily anymore. Ahri/morgana for example are played quite alot and they can both deal with annie fairly easily. Even karthus if played right can avoid being killed too easily and just farm. Also, ganking with her has become more difficult as most top tier ad carries and supports have mechanisms to stop her from ganking effectively. Dashes like graves, vayne, corki, Disruptive supports with CCs like sona, alistar, blitz, lulu. Also, top is hard to gank as well due to mobility and sustain. Jayce, lee sin, renekton, vlad, ect. Another thing is that in non blind pick, she is easily countered by picking champions who are good against her. Flash has also been nerfed considerably, which is one of her essential initiation summoners. Now you have to get a bit closer to flash in and ult your enemy. Last but not least, most good teams have learned how to deal with annie for example not clumping up, playing passive in laning phase, buying lots of wards. Oh yeah forgot to mention in the old days, support + ad carry bot wasnt played too often and bot lanes werent always heavily warded by a single player dedicated to buying them. This makes her ganks less sucessful as annie kind of needs to snowball a bit. All these factors equate to annie not being that much of a viable choice at least in high elo or competitive play. But she is still a solid champion. She just doesnt do too well in the current state of the game.
