I'm not a TSM fanboy, but it's surprising to me to see all the threads with "TSM sucks". They played A LOT better than I thought they would against Frost. They actually had a chance to win in the 2nd game, but they threw it.

But regardless, the games were enjoyable to watch and even though TSM didn't win, they still did really well for playing against one of the best teams in the world.

TSM was running the late game team fight comps and Azubu was running a super poke team. Are you referring to Day 1 games because TSM was the only NA team in the quarter finals?

^This. It's more of a "well we lost but at least we have better (insert irrelevance here) so we're still the best ever above everyone else always forever. 'MERICA!!!!" Honestly, why can't people just take a loss on the chin?

I don't really feel like TSM lost. I just feel like they didn't put in their all. While the matches meant a lot to them, I think they just really underestimated Azubu Frost. They walked into the first match with no sweat. No fear. No worry even slightly.
They walked in assuming they would get an easy win. And because of it they got hit hard. But you know what? A large majority of those team fights in the first round were won by TSM. TSM rocked Azubu Frost in the team fights. Even with a 10,000 Gold disadvantage.
The problem was that Azubu Frost was pushing turrets like mad. And TSM was not defending them greatly at all. I think they were looking more so for gank acing and pushing. Which wasn't happening. Jayce was countering Darius top too well. And once that tower went down their top jungle became owned by Azubu Frost. Causing it harder for Reginald at mid to focus his farm and push.
2nd game TSM put on their game faces and started bending over Azubu Frost and doing way with them. I didn't get to see what happened after that up until near end of game. But I think TSM most likely got too ahead of themselves a 2nd time.

TSM is really good. Deserves to be called one of the best in the world. But if they want to win best in the world they will need to start focusing on consistency and serious-ness throughout matches to the end.
When Azubu Frost is winning they still keep their game faces on hard. They still push so hard as if they were losing bad. And that is what causes Azubu Frost to do the monstrosity they do. If TSM played like they do when their backs are against the wall and played that way all game they would of done so much better. Their best performance was in game 1 during the last half. When they fought off Azubu Frost well and won most of those team fights with such a disadvantage. If only they kept that consistency from the start to the finish.

Dignatas went 0-3 - Obvioubsly they suck, Deserved to lose to Curse. Curse is a better team.
Clg NA went 1-2 Clg.Na Had nothing going for them till they owned curse. These guys will be AMAZING next season. Good try though

#BRING IT TSM FANBOYS
I've actually been to Korea(Seoul, South Korea) and I've competed in disclosed LAN tourneys that the Koreans just love to have all over the place. Main reason I had gone though was because I was paid to go with my team and face off as an american crew against the Korean crew for top prize in a now dead FPS game. But while there on the vacation, I was able to see a wonderful world of gaming. However, it did help me realize one major reason why Korea has an advantage often versus other countries. And it definitely had nothing to do with some deep bound in-depth heritage of gamer blood in them or something.

Do you know what the Koreans and most Asians have over the Americans?
Time.
Commitment.
Seriousness.
A completely different outlook on video games in social society.

About it ^

They have actual video game channels in Korea. On their televisions. A damn gaming net cafe on every street corner. Video games to them are like americans with their NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA sports. But 10 times more serious than even that.
In the US we do not have television channels specifically for video game broadcasting of tourneys and events. We do not have a video game net cafe on every single street corner. And the majority here do not worship video games. We have some companies here or there who host game conventions but their population sizes versus Korean's, or in general are not all that high.

While the Koreans play video games in a seriousness/fun time. Really wanting to achieve something most of the time. Americans play video games casually. So casually that still in our current social world of America, kids and adults are picked on if caught playing games too heavily or liking games too much over outdoor physical sports. Even other casual gamers will bash on gamers who play too much or take games too seriously. Calling them no lifers and anti-socialists and what not. Making the scene look as though if anyone puts time into games they are losers. Which tends to make it hard for a lot of Americans to take games to that same serious level Koreans do.

It's even been said that most of the serious NA teams run off to the EU server to train in League of Legends because in the NA server no one takes it seriously. Too many trolls. Too many casual sucky players. Too many people not really caring. But that is how we are brought up in America. To look at video games as a 30 minute to 1 hour tops casual activity. Nothing serious even slightly. We're told video games won't get us anywhere in life, don't bother with them in a serious manner. Don't put so much time into them either.
So it is no wonder that Americans will naturally be outdone by a country like Korea.

But I've seen when a group of Americans decide to buckle down and train as much as Koreans. Hell I've seen when a group of Americans simply decided to train at all to compete against Koreans, not even as much as the Koreans. And have stomped them hard.
In the end, it's simply a statistic variant that lets it look like the Koreans are some godly gaming race. Of course anyone who puts such time into anything should accel in it well. Who takes it as seriously. But since I have seen the light of Americans who have trained equally hard and destroyed Koreans, I for one can not be so ignorant as to stereotype the Koreans as "expectantly the best gamers in the world."

Work hard and be rewarded. Do you really think 2 million is going to just be handed to you TSM?

I saw M5 play in Hannover and I"ve been a fan. Gunna be hard to unseat the asians though. Their work ethic is unmatched.
