Why is Shen not nerfed yet?

It's a recognised fact that Shen is OP. In "common" games he's effectively permabanned because when he's not he's ALWAYS picked and usually dominates incredibly strongly. And if you think it's just one of those cases of "oh noobs don't know how to manage him" the this tournament shows that he's ALSO a very, VERY common pick at high level play where he ALSO dominates hard.

The thing with Shen is that, even with only 3 skills, he's a very strong character. He has good base stats, he has ranged harass that not only allows him to heal but also allows his ALLIES to heal, he has a spammable shield which, after buffs, also increases his damage output, he scales damage off building tanky thanks to his passive, he has a dash which functions as a multi-target CC and allows him to move through walls and even does damage after it was buffed and to top it all off he's energy-based so he has almost no resource problems. In short, even just factoring in his base stats, passive and QWE he has pretty much everything.

And then you add in his ult. His ult isn't even really incorporated into his kit the way Tibbers is to Annie's or Nether Grasp is to Malzahar's it's just a bonus skill tacked on which is nevertheless one of the top 5 ults in the entire game, especially because of Shadow Dash. Its most ridiculous feature, as was showcased in the SK vs ISG match, is how it enables Shen to freely split push while the rest of his team is elsewhere and STILL show up nearly instantly when needed. Considering TF, Pantheon and Nocturne all had their ults nerfed because their ability to turn 1v1s into 2v1s or 2v2s into 3vs it's absurd that a champion as all-around strong as Shen is allowed to keep his global. The argument that it's balanced because he has to have a friendly champion to teleport to rings pretty hollow when, as a tank, there really isn't anywhere else he'd rather go- OK, he can't use it as an unfair backdoor tool the way TF used to, but he can still push freely and still show up to battles in grand style with his massive shield. And just to put the cherry on it, it doesn't even cost him anything (so much for "energy management") so unless he'd literally spammed himself down to no energy before using it he will ALWAYS be able to Shadow Dash coming straight out of it.

Stand United pushes Shen over the line from being simply a very strong champion into outright broken. There's a REASON he is either permabanned or instalocked and usually decides entire games single-handedly despite being a tank rather than a carry- incredibly strong laner, incredibly strong teamfighter and has a unique ability to freely split push while still winning teamfights on the other side of the map. I know he's been through some ups and downs of balance, once being considered virtually useless, but since the remake he's been blatantly OP, everyone knows it and Riot won't balance him.

Why. Not?

They held off from making drastic nerfs or buffs before the season finals. Once the championships are over I wouldn't be suprised to see Ez, Shen, etc on the nerf block.

Oh my, yes, he clearly has won every game he's been in, in this tournament.
Oh--- wait.

What ever shall we do?

The only thing that makes him more deadly than other CC tanks is his ability to split push and teleport back in. Strong laner? Sure, but counterable.

I don't have an answer for you, but I want you to know that I support your statement, the way you made it, and hope that it gets the attention of the reds.

Lets keep this one on the front page, folks!

Yeah, because that's not a game-deciding advantage at all!

You might as well say that the only thing that makes Karthus more deadly than other AP mids is his ability to survive death and nuke everyone on the map. It's hardly a minor detail.

Idk why a champion whose ulti is global utility can still easily duel the vast majority of the champion roster even if they have combat oriented ultis.

If he has the option to split push, he should be at a loss in most 1v1s.
