He's too effective. I don't mind when he has to build like an assassin to play like one but instead we have Kassadins rushing pure tank stats and going legendary.

Can we nerf his base damages across the board, with equivalent AP buffs to compensate? So he stays right where he is now if he makes AP, but if he goes tank, he hits like a wet napkin?


It's the only solution to every single game having Frozen Heart Kass.

Numbers tweaks aren't going to cut it, unless they do a dominion-only nerf. His kit is fundamentally broken on this map: the ability to make every single fight happen with a number advantage is just stupid. He can gank bot and be top in time to defend windmill.

Actually, not only does he have good base values, but Kassadin also already has pretty high ratios as well.

You buff those, and he's still gonna be OP, he'll just get Archangel Staff a lot earlier, and once he reaches Deathcap he will be a nightmare.

Frozen heart is built on a lot of casters anyways... I think it could take a major manacost rework before Kassadin doesn't build it since it gives so many stats he wants/needs.

Frozen hearth is built a lot in too many things, CDR is too important and there arent great cdr items, except for FH. I would almost say that how well it fits the champ plays a very important role in your viability in dominion.

The problem with Kass is that anyone who relies on abilities can't kill him. Which is normally fine because AD carries exist and they wreck him. Too bad they suck ass in Dominion. The strongest AD carry in Dom (Ezreal) actually gets shut down by Kass cause lolsilence.

Well, it also doesn't help that his stupid ult lets him jump way, WAY farther than it's supposed to.

Butcher his ulti's base damage. Either that or fix blink mechanics to be limited like jumps/dashes when going through walls.

You can't reduce Kassadin's base stats. He's already melee without a reliable farming tool on SR in mid-lane where nearly everyone can outpush and out-harass him due to being pokey and having way safer harass.

He already is barely viable due to his extreme counter-snowbally nature and how easy it is to shut him down.

That's SR, mind.

I always wonder just how much minor base stat tweaks matter for Dominion, where the items come much faster anyway.

So I have a hypothesis: characters that can simply choose to not die any time they want are bad for the game.

This varies from map to map. Tryndamere can choose to never die on Treeline, Nidalee can more or less choose to never die on SR, etc. Most of these guys actually can't do that on Dominion, but it's due to map layout.

Less champs can do it on Dominion than other maps but it's worse here because a champion that can escape at any time can act alone. Kassadin is very unique in that he can be off doing whatever he wants, join a fight, escape without dying, and do it again.
