Thank you for this. I've noticed a lot of people (during the tribunal ranked period) were voting pardon because the player simply was not quite bad enough to deserve a ban. The offending player should have received a warning though and therefore should have been punished.

Bumping with this:

To many voters, it may seem counterintuitive to think that clicking punish can actually save a player from suspension (assuming they try to reform afterwards) but it happens that way due to the design of the system. The system benefits players that actually try to reform and penalizes players that wait too long to reform.

I encourage players that receive a warning from Tribunal to post their reform cards and ask for advice so that they can avoid repeating any mistakes they may have made.

Knowing is half the battle.

You are not saving anyone your getting an account banned because of the rampant trolling in this game. Stop the trolling before it stops LOL. AND FYI reading the chat doesnt mean anything you can do one thing and say another. Sooooooooooooo unless you watched the game you dont know what went on in it. Players should not ban other players should be riot employees only. Riot quit being lazy and cheap and do your job

^ This is coming from a player who got suspended for ignoring prior warning and behaving negatively in his matches.

Bumping on behalf of a post I just read where a voter makes it sound as if it's alright to pardon for a player "having a bad day".

Players "having a bad day" are why we punish to send warnings so that they can be more careful so that they have less or no "bad days" in the future.

Logic and common sense (see original post) hold the highest meaning so can't get no higher yo.

Punish now to save a player from later suspension, or smack a repeat delinquent for turning a deaf ear to the voters trying to help him/her.

Bumping this because I just read a post from a player complaining about being punished for punishable incidents.
