Hey there folks, posting up a follow on to the "Making a Game" topic. This'll act as the hub of information and updates for the project.

So far I do have something "playable" in the loosest sense. It's a glorified movement and collision testing area, with some music and the abilities "functioning" inside of it. Before I implement this style of movement, I'd like to get some feedback on what people like about it, what they don't, and if the control scheme is all systems go.

Like I said, there's not much there yet, but comments would be appreciated.

Run the test, I think those controls will work brilliantly IMHO. Although you may want to put limits on the riftwalking ability in some manner.

o man that was fun, Kassadin was first champion i bought. Now theres a game with him in it so cool. I actually spent 20 minutes playing around. Like the controls a lot and rift walking was cool how it was kind of hard to control like going through rifts would be. +1

Phew that was fun. Even though there were no monsters, no goals, or nothing to upgrade or do it was still fun to mess around in that environment.

Based on how much fun this is when it's essentially just a little dude running around in a box, I'm insanely excited about the potential that this project has. Very very eager to see a later build, let alone the finished product. :D

A small update on the project folks. I've started working on proper music for the game now. I was considering having the Normal themes for the areas without Drums and the Void variants of them with them, but I'm not sure how well that'd sound.

Gameplay wise there are a few systems I'd like to put in place. There are two "scores" in the game, Influence and Research Points. By gathering enough of these, you should be able to upgrade certain aspects or abilities that you have (for example, Influence Points will work to equipment, such as Boots of Swiftness, whereas Research Points will work to boosting your skills and other non-equipment based upgrades, such as a Double Null Sphere Combo, etc).

By the way, I'm not sure if this was clear but in the engine you can charge the Nether Blade up three times, It'll cost more Mana for each charge though (hit the spell button again after previously casting it to charge it up further).

Love it already. I only wish that even in this basic room there was something to actually damage.
