It's been mentioned that sweeping changes to itemization+tanky DPS nerfs are coming post-Season 3 (source: Xypherous on that Riven thread, various other threads he commented in about items). It seems probable that Dominion support will be rolled into these changes, since a large degree of the gimped/twisted meta that exists on Dominion is a side effect of how top lane works and why melee champions are in such a weird state on SR.

Why they'd wait to fix Dominion, I don't know. It just seems the most logical given Riot's past behavior and reasoning.

[Why Oct 15? World championships start the 13th of october, and continue through the 14th]

IIRC the big changes for season 2 (summoner spells) happened at the end of the off-season. It may be a while after the championships if it follows the same pattern.

On a SR balance note, I actualy think the 0 cs support situation is a large part of the problem they have right now. Specifically the gold/10 items, made for supports to get money, are getting used by everyone now and pretty much just encourage people to afkfarm for 20-25 minutes with gold/10. IMO they need to remove them and give supports an alternative from of income. The idea that's floating around to let people share gold for cs if they're nearby would fix a lot of problems IMO, and could bring back double top lanes and many more interesting lane comp set ups.

If would be nice for Dominion too, since top teams usually quickly push their minion waves with the whole team but only one person gets any income for it. Doesn't really make sense.

The reason why they metagame is just farm is because Riot pushed for it. It's a long list of different sets in the game, and they are fine with it. It seems people like to farm, and if you do not like it, there is dominion.

Yes but if you want to play ranked, you had better like farming or else you are screwed. Seems the logical answer is to add a ranked Dominion.

Honestly though, it makes no sense why Summoner's Rift is so focused on farming. Especially when there is competitive-level League of Legends. It almost makes it embarrassing for the pro gamers, I think.

"I am a pro at farming minions."

And then people rip on game types like Dominion that are more focused on team battles, duels, and strategy. Sounds about right...

Of course we need ranked in dominion that is so obvius that shouldn't be mentioned. Sadly riot do not tell us why we do not have it yet. Except a bunch of lies.

it shouldn't the new summoner's spell took everyone by surprise, ofc surge and promote are well...bad on every game mode but in the case Riot introduces a summonner's that no one had any idea of how to use at the sart but ends up being pretty effective *cough*Garrison*cough* the New summonner spells or changes should be introduced during the pre-season so that people can get used to them, not at the start of the season.
