6. try to take a few minutes to write review but don't t over 5 days.
7. you can call your friends for a third opinion if someone has a disagreement with you.
8. don't troll someone if they make something stupid
9. There are powers that the creator has that aren't directly stated but are implied
10. Reviewers can only review what is on the forum.
examples: no reviewing peoples families. no reviewing pets. no reviewing houses. no reviewing politics.

You guys can't guess where I stole these ideas from
I'll accept this, provided a few modifications are made to rules 1, 5 and 9. What I would suggest for those are
1. Speak your mind, but don't cuss.
5. Double review if desired, but wait until something changes.
9. There are powers that the creator has that aren't directly stated but are implied, and may be called in for clarification should it not be obvious enough to catch on a second reading.

And I don't know where you stole these ideas from.

That's an interesting Rough Concept template, I supposes I'll play around with that one for now.

You guys better not restrict my concepts domination.

It's just a guide; a starting point. If you feel that you can adapt it to better suit your individual needs we invite you to do so.

The people that made the Thread of Aspiring Champions (Me, Blínd, Katsuni, Villanova, ICraig, and him whos name shall not be stated) are all going through some pretty big stuff, both in RL and in LoL, so I don't know if we will be able to help.

My personal opinion on the generaric champion structure is make ppl include all of the aspects and new people can use it, but I don't think you should take away the general creativism of the design. Some people will want o post more, and some people will want to post less.

Just my insight on the matter.
wow, blitztron, you still here O.o i thought you guys have disappeared off the CC forums
nice to see you guys still are here.

Echoing is a brilliant mind wasted on a bad attitude. Negativity only fosters further negativity. He is an example of how to NOT review a fellow Summoner, creative prowess aside. We will be posting a guide on proper review techniques in the near future.
tbh, i find that if you ignore his horrible attitude, he makes really good reviews.
the only reason i say he should review is cause of his mind. maybe someone can coach him to not be so mean?

Also, try to see if riot can get this stickied?

Actually, I think a sticky would really give a meaning to this council that it doesn't bear... I am 100% against the sticky option. Also, this thread should be active enough to not fall really far...

Lastly, I've posted my Gipsy if you guys are interested and I included in it my template for the concept (based on your)

Sorry for potential triple post >_<

i like the format atm. yet, i feel too much of its is labled "core"
imo, the only real "core" things are lore, abilities, stats (maybe), and identification (name, and stuff)
Dialogue isnt really core imo, it just adds to it, same with apearence and overview (though overview would really help with drawing people in)

this would be my revision (you really dont have to consider it, but ill try anyways)
it includes some reorganization and such

Champion Conceptualization Example Format

Key:

- "Core" Information is information required to convey a champion clearly. Without it, the reader has an incomplete picture of what your champion is like.

- "Optional" content isn't necessary, it just makes for a more interesting read. Remember that you can always include this later on if you want.

Dialogue, theme, skins, and Description: optional. because they really just add aesthetic value to the champ (helps in understanding, but still aesthetics)
Name, lore, stats, abilities core. conveys what the champ actually does in-game, and lore is how he fits into league (no obelisk of light in lol obv)
changing ability details order: range should come in the beginning. Range is huge in balance imo, and now that i think about it, it should be right after ability type (because then its easy to see like 900 range skillshot, 1000 range hitscan cone and stuff) im hesitant of having both targeting type and ability type because they both kinda address the same thing. i left it regardless tho.

added general values for the stats list

Quote:
Quote:
{Champion Name} - {Champion Title} Core.
Quote:
{Overview} Optional/core Helps quite a bit, and probably very good to include, but still i find unecessary.

-Gender (Male/Female/Other)
-Race (Human/Yordle/Other)
-Origin (Where they came from)
-Alliance (Good/Evil/Unknown)
-Class: (AP Caster, AD Carry, etc.)
-Subclass: (Same as above.)
-Weapon: (Type/description)
-Attack Type: (Melee/Ranged)
-Energy Source: (Mana/Fury/other)

Include here a very brief (2-3 sentence) snippet concerning what this champion is all about in terms thematically and mechanically. This is where you can organize your TL;DR and draw the reader in. (Example: “Arthur is a tanky AD bruiser who uses his sword and shield to excel in 1v1 trades. His toggle ability “Shield” is unique in that it allows him to block a large portion of incoming damage while sacrificing movement speed and attack power.”
Quote:
{Appearance} Optional.

-Height
-Physical Build (Brawny, skinny, fat, ball of void energy, etc.)
-Hair style and color (If applicable)
-Eye color
-Weapons
-Attire
-Other: (General notes about distinguishing features such as facial hair, extra limbs, pets, etc.)

The list format could of course be substituted by actual concept art, if available.
Quote:
{Lore} Core.

300-500 words. Should include the basic plot points of where the character originated from, the source of their powers, and the inciting incident that drove them to join the League.
Quote:
{Base Stats} Core.

For those not comfortable with detailed numeric work, using simple terms such as Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High would be acceptable. You can similarly make a direct comparison to an existing champion (e.g. for a tank's health stats you could simply say "comparable to Singed.") But plotting out specific stats is something that we encourage once you feel comfortable. LoL Wiki is a good tool for determining balanced stats.

-Base Health (+/level) [Beginning: 420-576 End: 1610-2381]
-Base Mana (+/level) [Beginning: 220-366 End: 659-1454]
-Base Attack Damage (+/level) [beginning: 48-61. End: 129-90]
-Base Attack Speed (+/level) [should end at something aroun 1.000 +/- like 0.1 i'd say just copy another champ's very finicky to calculate]
-Attack Range (Or simply ranged/melee for beginners.) [melee: 100-175, ranged: 425-650]
-Base Armor (+/level) [Beginning: 10-23 End: 61-90]
-Magic Resistance (+/level) [30 for most ranged, 30 + (1.25/level) for most melee]
-Movement Speed [300-330]
Quote:
{Abilities} Core.

Passive (Name): Description of ability.

Q (Name): Description of ability.
  • Type (Single target/skillshot/Aura/etc.)
  • Range/Radius/AoE
  • Cost
  • Amount(Heal/Damage, if applicable)
  • Buff/Debuff Type (if applicable)
  • Buff/Debuff Value (If applicable.)
  • Duration (If applicable)
  • Cooldown
  • Target Type (Ally, Enemy, Minion hit, etc.)
  • Any special notes concerning ability synergy or conditional effects.

Repeat format for W, E, and R.
Quote:
(Secondary Skins) Optional.

Brief details as to how this skin differs from the basic appearance. Again, could be substituted or supplement by actual concept art.
Quote:
{Dialogue} Optional.

-Champion Selection
-Movement Quotes
-Attacking Quotes
-Q Use
-W Use
-E Use
-R Use
-Taunts
-Jokes
-Recall
-Champion Interactions (Optional)

{Particle Effects} Optional.
{Recommended Items} Optional.
{Gameplay} Optional.
{Additional Notes/Content} Optional.

i meant he template and reviewing guides

the point of creating the template is so people have easy to understand ideas
the point of the reviewing guide is so that people actually review champs.
those need to be stickied imo

I agree with this, except for the comment on range. Range is traditionally the last item listed, and though I'm not sure why other people do it, I like it that way because you can easily tell the range just by skipping to the end of the stats. It's easy to see the last item because there is usually a fair amount of whitespace after the stats and before the next spell.

Btw, I'm not on the list yet, but I am a Council member.

EDIT: Also, are we doing free reviews or is it a requirement for them to review someone else's before we review theirs?
