I've gotten sick of my buying champions that seem to be lacking in relation to other champions i have (Hai Talon, Hec, and Varus), so i thought i'd ask before i bought a champ. I mostly play Dom and TT (Don't have the time for SR most days) and Nid looked interesting. So collective forum people, is Nid good? I don't care if she's awkward or hard to play, just that she's viable and worth the IP.

She seems similar to Jayce in a way, which is good because i really like Jayce. Is that an erroneous assumption to make?

Thanks for any useful/non trolling advice.

Nid is a very good champ. And a lot of fun to play. She has a savage kit and can be played many ways.

Both Nidalee and Jayce have a similar feel to them, yes. If you like Jayce, you will probably enjoy Nidalee. If you've not played Jayce, then her playstyle will take a lot of getting used to, but I personally find it an enjoyable one.

Her AP build isn't as effective as it has been in the past, but it's still fantastic for poking with. Still a lousy teamfighter though, which is why it's unpopular now. (However, if the team is built with poking and kiting in mind, Nidalee is a superstar for a lineup like that)

Her bruiser AD build wins many matchups in top lane and is powerful until late game where it drops off a bit. Her high mobility lets her reach squishy targets pretty easily and she can chase them down without too much trouble.

I hate getting hit by that spear. When I play adc , I love support Nid because I know I will free farm and the other team will have to do something stupid/desperate to stop my creep snowball.

Support Nidalee is only useful if the enemy team is unaware of how to dodge the slowest skillshot in the game. If I want brush control, Blitz is infinitely better at providing it, and he doesn't drop into near uselessness late game with support items.

On TT, she is near unstoppable (along with Trynd, GP, Gragas, and Olaf) and she can hold her own in a 1v1 after lvl 6 with little to no trouble. Of course, if she has to go up against one of those other four, she is AP and easily is destroyed by a Trynd ult, a GP shot, or an OPed Olaf. Gragas would be interesting to see, I sure haven't faced one as Nid.

Pretty sure Morg's Q is slower. I was dodging Morg Q's before I started boots 3.

The big issue with Nidalee is that her controls are awkward and she has quite a few bugs. Riot has been fixing this up since they released her and she *still* has a crappy QoL.

a Nidalee in a Good players hand can be good but to me I really don't like her unlike other champs who focus in an certain area of gameplay she just AVERAGE in everything that means there always gonna be another champ can do what your trying to do with her but better

Nidalee is my favorite champion. She is one of the most versatile champions in League. I recommend going AP Nidalee, top or bot, because her poke is extremely powerful. Having the ability to almost one-hit carries before a fight even begins is a key strategy!

Nidalee does well in team comps of poke/kite/siege. She is great with Ezreal, Caitlyn, Jayce, etc. She does take a little while to get used to, but once you've mastered her she becomes extremely fun.

Nidalee is useless squish and a gold hog. No matter how much gold you put in her she will remain just that. The famous Nidalee spear nooks are as reliable as weather: first you need to actually hit it which requires a big skill, second you need the follow up to it as anyone smarter than a bot will just walk away and heal. She may be of some use as kill securer but specialists like Yi or Zed far surpass her in that capability.
The one thing she is good at is to troll noobs into chasing her. Anyone experienced enough knows the "chasing Nidalee" meme.

But yes as the previous poster said she is great at poking feeders.
