((This is the lore I will follow as Cassiopeia, in light of the new revelations.))

While her sister Katarina has always been the most celebrated member of the household, the Du Couteau family has a long history of service to Noxus. It has often been said that no soldier has ever been as fortunate as General Du Couteau to have been graced with daughters. His youngest, Cassiopeia - despite lacking her sister's killer instincts - was equally renowned in at court for her stately character and elegance. Cunning as she was beautiful, the temptress could never be found far from the arm of any foreign dignitary, her wiles prying secrets from the lips of even the most wary attaché. With the Noxian barbarian pacification campaign having ground to a standstill, Cassiopeia had set her sights on a diplomat from a tribe of the Freljord region. Thinking him an easy mark, the scheming seductress set about beguiling him. He refused to confide in her, however, until she swore an oath of secrecy upon his sword - a strange weapon with a serpentine curve to the blade.

Once her tryst was over, Cassiopeia provisioned her father with information regarding the barbarian resistance. As she divulged this intelligence, a wave of revulsion washed over her. She screamed in agony as her silky skin hardened to scales, her lustrous hair thickened to leather, and her manicured fingernails sharpened to claws. Dazed, she fell upon a group of horrified servants, rending them limb from limb in a heartbeat. When it was over the blood soaked figure was no longer the ravishing jewel of the Noxian court, but a horror trapped somewhere between woman and serpent.

The youngest Du Couteau shut herself away, horrified at the monster that she had become. For weeks on end, she would remain locked within her chambers, searching for a way to break the terrible curse that plagued her. Finally, she stumbled upon a glimpse of hope. In an ancient scroll she had procured, she read the tale of an determined magus who performed a ritual that bequeathed to him power beyond comprehension. A being known as Xerath, the Magus Ascendant. It was this process of ascension that Cassiopeia hoped would shed her of this serpent form. Upon learning all that she needed, Cassiopeia set out for Shurima. It was not long before she found the first instrument in her plan of ascension; a young mercenary known as Sivir. She approached the mercenary with an offer to escort her to the Tomb of Emperors. In exchange, the Battle Mistress would receive riches only held on her wildest dreams. The mercenary agreed. Armed with a band of sell-swords at her side, the noble and the mercenary set out to find the ancient structure. Five days beneath the broiling sun, one of the scouts spot towers jutting upwards and a stairway leading underground. They climb down, into the darkness.

The group find piles of ancient treasure, gleaming in the torch-light. Even Sivir is astonished of the grandeur of the ruins. Her men headed deeper in only to stumble into traps and be eviscerated. Sivir stood by, stunned with horror, but Cassiopeia did not flinch. She saw only the statue of the huge serpent silently guarding the door to the Tomb of the Emperors, and smiled.

Cassiopeia decided that she should put her plan into motion. In a violent act of betrayal, she plunged her talons deep into Sivir's flesh. Leaving the dying mercenary bleeding on the ground, she picks up the key to the tomb itself and puts it into the lock; Sivir's own archaic blade. Suddenly, the stone serpent came alive. It's eyes gleaming like emeralds, it sinks its fangs into the lamia, it's potent and ancient venom spreading throughout her body. The last thing Cassiopeia remembered before losing consciousness is the agony of the magic spreading through her veins and the sound of her own screams. When she awakened, two massive figures loomed over her. The maddened former guardian Renekton, and the Magus himself. Cassiopeia was given an impossible choice. Join with Xerath and fight for his cause. In return, he would break the hold the curse has over her. If she refuse, she would be struck down where she lay. Now armed with the ancient poison that was meant to kill her and a gaze of stone, Cassiopeia calls herself an ally of Xerath...for now.

"Is this some sort of joke?! Speak, fool!"

Cassiopeia's enraged eyes glared at the terrified servant behind the silk curtains as he clutched a letter in his fist, bearing the seal of the League of Legends. His voice shook as he repeated the information.

"M-m-m-my apologies, Mistress. The L-League is requiring all ch-champions to make themselves available to answer questions and take visitors."

Cassiopeia's slitted eyes narrowed furiously. How dare they make demands of her? She had more important things to do than answer trivial questions and entertain worthless beings who thought themselves worthy of her. Her scales scraped softly on the marble floor of the Du Couteau mansion as she paced. Her servant followed her movement with his eyes. Cassiopeia caught him staring and he quickly looked away. Her muscular tail propelling her with frightening speed, Cassiopeia closed the distance between them. Her talon closed around the servant's neck, lifting him off the floor and pinning him to the wall. Her lips curled into a cruel and seductive smile, her eyes flashing dangerously.

"What's wrong? Don't you find me...beautiful?"

The servant avoided her gaze at all costs and whimpered in fear.

"I'm sorry, Mistress!"

Cassiopeia held his gaze for a few more moments, than let him fall. The servant collapsed to his knees, gasping. Cassiopeia slithered back behind her curtain.

"Very well...Inform the League that I shall make myself available for this program."

The servant scrambled to his feet and hurried out of the room, leaving Cassiopeia alone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cassiopeia lay casually across the velvet davenport, her tail swaying slightly over the edge. Her azure eyes glance around her drawing chambers in the Du Couteau manor. Her servants bustle around, trying to keep themselves busy as to not look at her. She waits patiently for visitors, for business...or pleasure.

Her loyal butler Davian oversees the staff. He ensures that the waiting room is stocked with refreshment for waiting guests, that the visiting room displays all the grandeur of the Du Couteau family and Noxus, and that Cassiopeia's personal chambers are kept to his mistress's specifications should a friend come calling.

The servant's hand shook slightly as he brought the letter to his mistress. Cassiopeia's eyes narrowed at him as she snatched the letter from his hands.

"Idiot! You're sweating on the post."

Avoiding her gaze, the servant uttered a hasty apology and resumed his duties. Her cobra hood flaring in annoyance, Cassiopeia dipped a claw in blood red ink and wrote back to the summoner.

"Dearest summoner,

An unusual question, yet I will answer it all the same. My appetite has generally remained the same, yet from time to time, I do need to fulfill strange...cravings. This is as far as I'm willing to talk on this subject.

Signed,

~Lady Cassiopeia Du Couteau"

Cassiopeia snapped her talons and the servant returned. Her gaze was piercing as she handed him her response. Venom dripped in the honey sweetness of her voice.

"Do not perspire on this one, if you wish to keep your hands."

The servant nodded vigorously and dashed away to deliver the letter.

The servant delivered the letter with mittens on. Cassiopeia arched an eyebrow at him.

"What is the meaning of this?"

The servant bowed respectfully.

"It is from the Yeti child, madam. It is rather chilly."

Cassiopeia nodded in understanding.

"Ah. I see. Very well."

Cassiopeia wrote a response.

"Dear Yeti Rider,

After the...incident, mobility was difficult to master. After using legs for the majority of one's life, it makes it difficult to adapt to such a sever transition. However, once the basics are learned, the rest came quite easily.

Sincerely,

~Lady Cassiopeia Du Couteau"

She then handed the letter to the servant. He bowed and rushed off to deliver it.

A wooden figurine of Cassiopeia in her Mythic outfit slithered into the real Cass's room, carrying with her a large letter at least twice her size.

A letters arrives into Cassiopeia's office in the institute of war.

To Lady Cassiopeia Du Couteau:

Quote:
Dear Lady Cassiopeia of the house Du Couteau,
ever since I learnt of you I was always interested in you and now that you opened yourself more to the public, I'd like to ask you of a favor.
I am writting you beforehand to ask you whether I could be admitted to your personal presence in your very own manor and home. I'd be very pleased to meet you and get to know you as a person rather than a champion.
I am very much like you and I believe you'd be happy to know you are not alone in this world. It'd make me happy as well, I believe we would have much to say to each other.
I'll be expecting your answer with great anticipation. I am sure you will understand my words better once you see me.

Yours sincerely
Al-Khali of the Queen's tribe

PS: Please specify the date I could visit you if you reply positively. It'd take me about 2 days to get into Noxus
The letter had all its proprieties and the address lead back to the Institute of War.

Cass looked on in amusement as the tiny figurine bobbed and weaved any attempt to be caught by her servants. It slithered determinedly toward her. A smile played at her lips as the figurine slithered up her arm and gave her the letter.

"Honestly..."

After reading over the letter, she wrote a quick reply.

"Dearest Fae,

I never do actually wear the boots. If they are simply on my person, the magic works just as well. I would ask you the same thing, since your feet are so small. Although, It is possible that you can shrink them with your magic. I'm not so sure you understand how my Petrifying Gaze works. It comes from my eyes...which is where 'gaze' comes in...And no, I cannot make it hurt less. As for your pixie companion's question, only the finest Noxian quail eggs will do.

Sincerely,

~Lady Cassiopeia Du Couteau"

Cass handed the letter to one of her servants. The figurine of her hissed at him from her shoulder.

"Do be careful delivering this. The Fae likes turning people into fuzzy little animals. You are of no use to me then."

Her eyes bore into him and he looked away, terrified.

"Then again, I might be hungry...Go."

The servant left in a hurry. Cass lay back, watching her miniscule self slither around on the floor.

Sarah calmly approached Cassiopeia's new chambers... and was surprised to see a butler guarding the door.

"Yo, Jeeves." Sarah said. "Your boss won't eat you if you let me in."
