Location: Shuriman Desert, Excavation Site.
Time: June 13th, 24 CLE 1pm.

Excavation of the ruins had been slow. Every precaution had been taken to clear out certain portions and to make sure that the discovery was not annihilated. However, the Void presence within made progress painstakingly slow. Even with the use of additional forces on site there would be problems with holding down the area and clearing out whatever evils, placed within long ago or new ones that had taken up residence within, out.

This time it was mid-day. No overcast could be seen overhead. The desert sun was nothing but brutal as usual. The most proficient and notable members of the Preservers were requested on site to handle the situation. The job was simple in concept. Go in, remove any threats and then leave.
Councilor Tekun Valos would be waiting outside of the ruins. Waiting patiently.
The entrance was a large hole with a ladder that lead about twenty feet down into an impressive chamber. Researchers were studying glyphs upon the walls below while at least several dozen men stood on guard below. More were above. It was clear an encampment had been set up.

Terra

((You know me so yep.))

Terra walked across the sand, slowly taking his time but was wearing some Indiana Jones outfit of somewhat because it was hot and he did feel the roots grow but he knew that it was a bad thing if they gained to much sun and shriveled up and died. He slowly walked across the sand and the blazing hot sun of the desert itself and made his way to the site and the entrance. "Tekun or sir shall I say? Terra here for duty!" He said and saluted.

((I'm a preserver, do I have to post my profile again or what?))

With her recommendation to bomb the excavation site with bio-alchemical weapons or Zaunite Phosphex to kill off everything denied, Noxian warsmith Sheva Visari was summoned especially to deal with the ruins conventionally, not only to combat its threats personally but to offer her considerable siege engineering prowess to crack it open.

Under her authority, she brought build teams and large amounts of prefabricated material to reinforce the site camp and entrance, making it easier for the line soldiers to defend the entrance while the specialists do their job. Flimsy wooden ladders and scaffolds were replaced with wide steel scaffoldings, ladders, and lift systems, permitting supplies and material to be brought down into the staging area, making it a highly defensible retreat position.

Soldiers busily bolt everything into the hard stone of the ruins and set defensive traps and perimeters of tangling razor-wire. Engineering teams prepared plenty of portable bridges, jacking columns and hex lamps to make the initial area accessible, but such operations would take hours beyond the initial entrance, naturally. A breacher team with their Zaunite Drill was also brought down and remained on standby.

Despite the noontime desert sun, Sheva was adorned in her spiked black armor and met with Tekun to be briefed before heading down. She carried her fearsome looking helm in one hand, while a tower shield was slung over her back. At her belt was a cruel pick-hammer, a special Noxian designed weapon-tool. Her armor’s hextech was already working to keep her cool, though of course the build teams built a large canopy just outside the entrance of the Ruins, so that the teams going down could plan in the shade.
Overall, with Sheva in charge of construction works, the area was quickly becoming a well-oiled construction zone.

“Warsmith Visari, Reporting for combat duty, Commander. My construction teams have went ahead to reinforce our position here.” Her tone was strong and professional, though there was slight disappointment that she wouldn't be throwing toxin bombs to suffocate whatever was down there.

"This landscape is still as boring as ever." Crux mumbled to herself. "Better boring than deadly though."

The cursed girl rubbed her eye with one of her black-gloved hands, trying to get another grain of sand out her eye. The thin cloth cloak she was wearing had helped with the heat a little, and prevented any sand from flying up her nose, but did little to protect her eyes from the wrath of the desert. Underneath, she wore her standard travel outfit, though it was suited more for sneaking through urban alleyways than underground ruins.

She was here to help with the myriad numbers of traps that the place was suspected to have, as some of the higher-ups were impressed by her nack for setting off the almost every single trap Deadeye planted at HQ and only needing to go to the medical wing twice during the time she was there. However, she had mistakenly been sent to the site early due to an administrative error and has spent most of her time here staring at the desert and occasionally getting stung by scorpions. At least that Jacob guy got an unexpected vacation.

After a bit more desert-gazing, Crux noticed that some people were finally starting to arrive and were meeting with the councilor. As she walked over, she remembered she was secretly glad that it was Tekun in charge of the operation, or at least anybody who wasn't Deadeye. Things usually fell and tried to hit her more often when he was around.

"Catherine Blake Crux, formally reporting for - GAH!" Crux started rubbing her eyes again, as sand flew into her eyes once more. "Just...ignore that, okay?" she pleaded, one hand still trying to make the intrusion go away.

Ti'lara had jumped at the chance to go back to the sands for a while. She missed the warmth and that feeling of sand between your toes. She could have personally been asked along due to her tolerance for the environment. Or she could have been asked along for other reasons. She had not been with the Preservers long. But she wanted to do all that she could to assist them. And since this was right up her ally, more or less, she pretty much did not take no for an answer.

She took her horse and rode out to the site on her own, not being overly familiar or trusting of those others that were coming along to assist in the mission.

Shuriman Desert, Excavation Site.
By the time she arrived at the encampment some of the others were already there. She wasn't going to be a loner for this, so she decided to join them when she dismounted and tied up her horse.

Ridley Bouchard never travels light. A golden palanquin containing Ridley approaches the encampment followed by an ivory caravan containing her supplies and living space as she does not plan to sleep oudoors. Ridley had been assigned this mission due to her multilingual skills along with her economic resources which shall prove useful not to mention her magical prowess.

Shuriman Desert, Excavation Site.

The palanquin and caravan stop slowly at the encampment, a white suited bodyguard jumps down from the caravan slowly lumbering over to miss Bouchard to open the door for her, he hands her an ebony parasol and fan before helping her to step out of the palanquin. She adjusts her glasses and skirt before she allows her palanquin bearers to rest handing one of them the her coat and tells them "Dont go far I dont know how ugly this might get" . She walks over to Tekun; "Hello all how are you?" she asks politely addressing anyone nearby as she fans her glasses glinting in desert sun.

"It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for this blasted heat" Loki thought to himself as he shifted through the desert sand on his way to the dig site. The heat of the desert was always harsh but today it felt even more discomforting. It wasn't that he didn't like the heat and sand, he just preferred that there were a nice cool ocean of water accompanying it. 'Still, can't let the recruits see me complaining, bad for moral.' Slow and steady wins the race, any type of unnecessary actions in this heat meant you might exhaust yourself before you even get to where your suppose to. This train of thought also affected how much he had carried here. A backpack carrying essentials, his usual leather armor, and his signature weapon; the 4.5 foot slab of metal some people would consider resembles a sword.

A few minutes after the other members of the party arrived, he made it to the outskirts of the area. Tekun was in charge of the mission, that was an unquestionable fact, he was there as a form of backup and to make sure that his recruits didn't get themselves into too much trouble. A slight grimace showed when he saw Ridleys.... troupe near the site and sighed. 'Always overkill.' He moved past it and met up with the head of warfare.

"Afternoon Valos," he said with a grin as he pulled out a skin of water and took a drink. "Apologies for being late, but you know how it is with the desert."

((Your character has been reviewed. Please direct all future applications to the Preserver's OOC room. Also, Nwol, either you or someone else you trust review these things as well. Not sure you really want me being the one to decide the fate of these characters.))

Elyssia

Wrapping her traveling cloak tightly around herself as a strong gust of wing swept by, Elyssia stood casually as she waited for the team to assemble. Nodding her head slightly after Crux made her introduction, Elyssia did the same.

"Elyssia Ròsach..... Present."

She wiped droplets of sweat from her brow, the desert was not a climate she was comfortable with. It was the exact opposite of home and she knew that it would be a long while of suffering before she can acclimatize.

'That sun... Definitely helping a lot.' She thought bitterly, hiding as much skin as possible from it.

Shielding her eyes from her blistering nemesis, Elyssia spotted Ridley. She a ghost of a giggle crept into her lips but she stifled it quickly, the amusement still twinkled in her eyes though. Somehow she found the sight of the noble completely out of place funny, it reminded her of the obese swan she and her godmother had found waddling it's way through the bogs north of Demacia. It didn't get very far though....

'Vain...' She thought.

Elyssia had never been enthusiastic when it came to fashion. She groomed her self well enough to be proper in public, but no one had ever taught her delicate makeups and outfits in her childhood. Neither was she very interested in beautification.

Elyssia simply gave Ridley a slight nod and turned back to the current event.
