When the game was paused wouldnt CLG also get the chance to discuss their startegies and be better off since they had 5 people to discuss with and not 4 like m5

The rules state that a pause is only warranted when a hardware/technical issue is present.

This is wrong imo, the rules say "Player Disruption" It is not at all a stretch to say that physical illness counts as disruption, for instance if he suddenly got the urge to throw up everyone involved in the match would want the game to be paused. diarrhea would also qualify.

Maybe he just needed to go drink some pepto.

If you actually think about it, since people are drawing references to 'real' sports, in both basketball and American football, the time out feature is used strategically to either gain or remove advantage in certain situations, so that merely pausing a game does not magically give one team a win, as both have the pause opportunity to discuss strats upon unpause.

I respect a man who knows the difference between there and their...

They could have had any other time to pause the match, why the **** were they allowed to do it in a crucial spot? Why not after a team fight, or during laning phase? It's wayy too convenient that they can call for a pause when they're losing, they should be either in the lead or in neutral ground before a pause. Pausing only helps the losers in a situation.

Pause absolutely had no effect on the outcome of the game. M5 dominated both games. CLG got counter picked.

The pause was not used strategically to gain an advantage. It was simply a "medical time out" as you would see in a game like Tennis.

M5 pulled a dirty trick that is all.

Also your argument is super flawed

What exactly was dirty? That they only had 4 people to discuss and CLG their whole team?
That's totally sneaky and dirty. And I also guess that CLG only had a 30 seconds break and M5 30 minutes?

You can't call time-outs in basketball until you have possession of the ball. So why pause the game when the opposing team has momentum?

i really dont understand
if a player is feeling ill in a tournament is their only problem,
you cant just stop the tournament
just because one person is ill

thats why you have backup player at the team
(just like any other sport in the world,
u get ill u try ur best to win,
u can ask the ref to stop the game just becasue u dont feel right)

Patch Notes

General
  • Pausing the game now causes the losing team to get a 50 AD/AP bonus from 0 AD/AP for the next fight
