And AD Malz's spells have 600 + 40% magic damage, even with 100 MR that's going to take a chunk out of you.

Actually, Malz has some of the best base spell damage in the game. Void pool does a huge amount of percentage damage (2 seconds is equivalent to a hungering strike and it lasts for 5), and all of his spells are AOE (if you consider that Malefic Visions hits multiple targets as long as they die) so he pushes like crazy while still damaging the enemy champ.

His ult damage is the only thing that's kind of gimpy without AP. It's okay though, because it's not like it doesn't do tons of damage thanks to voidlings + suppression anyway.

It's a bug. There's no need for any other reason to not change it.

And if they want to keep it for balance reasons, then it's a bad thing. Because it's the perfect example of "Hidden knowledge".

Things auto-attacking something that should be invincible to auto-attacks, yet damaging them normally. No one knows this is the interaction unless they test it out or get told.

Sure, but this actually goes against what you'd expect, and what the abilities tell you that they do.

Also, it's not like hidden knowledge somewhere is an excuse for more hidden knowledge elsewhere.

AD Malz's power will explode, next patch---the W buff means less time for the voidling to pop out+more damage take to the enemy (not much, but it will still be there), the Q buff means you can hit them anywhere along the wall and they'll take full damage.....the nether grasp buff means that voidlings, for sure, will tear apart whoever is grasped......but....most importantly of all.

Voidling AI. I've played with this, and the AI is amazing; they don't derp when attacking targets anymore....they're easier to direct now (basic attacks can direct them now, now just visions), and they don't reveal you in the FoW when hiding.

Only thing AD Malz needs to be "perfect" (and possibly viable in SR too) is for his pets to benefit from auras (Aegis and Zekes, mostly), and proc on-hit effects (lifesteal, slows, etc).

Does anyone think building hybrid items such as gunblade would benefit both his spells and voiding?

If so would he be viable building hybrid like that?
