[Build Guide] Pantheon: Tanky DPS

This is how I've remedied the problems of Pantheon's squishy and useless late game recently.

Runes:

  • Red: Attack Speed OR Armor Penetration OR Both
  • Yellow: Dodge
  • Blue: Magic Resist per Level
  • Quintessences: Flat Health AND/OR Dodge
Masteries: 13/9/8
  • Offense: 3/3 Deadliness, 1/3 Archmages Savvy, 4/4 Alacrity, 3/3 Sunder, 2/2 Offensive Mastery
  • Defense: 2/3 Resistance, 2/3 Hardiness, 4/4 Evasion, 1/1 Nimbleness
  • Utility: 3/3 Good Hands, 1/1 Haste, 4/4 Expanded Mind
Skill Order:

Spear Shot first
Aegis of Zeonia
Max Heartseeker Strike first
Max Aegis of Zeonia second
Max Spear Shot last
Take Grand Skyfall whenever it is available

Item Build:
  • Meki Pendant 2x Health Pots
  • Boots
  • BF Sword

    When fighting against a DPS heavy team with light CC
  • Ninja Tabi
  • Finish Black Cleaver
  • Phantom Dancer
  • Randuin's Omen

    When fighting against a Spell heavy team with heavy CC
  • Mercury Treads
  • Finish Black Cleaver
  • Banshee's Veil
  • Youmuu's Ghostblade

    When fighting against a DPS heavy team that deals damage through spells, or a mixed bag team
  • Mercury Treads
  • Finish Black Cleaver
  • Randuin's Omen
  • Youmuu's Ghostblade

    Luxury Items/Situational Items
  • Stark's Fervor
  • Bloodthirster
Once you learn how to appropriately build Pantheon against the enemy team, whether it be through Dodge, MR, or Armor, Pantheon is extremely powerful, especially since he can recall and ult into a battle, making lifesteal on him somewhat trivial when he never takes damage.

Randuin's also provides a good AoE slow to keep targets who are running away in range while Aegis of Zeonia comes off CD
