How do you counter Tyrandamere in 3v3s?

He completely dominates as a solo, has a heal, has crowd control, has an escape method and a good amount of invincibility with his ult. Unless he is shut down early, which it takes a considerable amount of harassment to achieve, he'll push your team into a corner and only show his neck to fight when his ult is up.

Honestly, Tyrandamere feels like a mistake for a champion. He's an ace in the hole with barely any weaknesses.

Teemo counters him very well, and so does heavy CC. The main thing is to not let him get a lot of farm early, but that's true with almost any champion. It's just a little more important with him than others

Zilean, Twitch, Caitlyn, Vayne, and more all have ways to avoid him while his ult is up. Shen, Malphite, and Alistar can control his target, take hits from him, and keep him from doing too much damage while his ult is up.

In other words, you counter him in much the same way you counter a Ranged AD carry.

That's true, I did forget that long-ranged counters do well. I also keep forgetting that his ult does not help him resist spells like exhaust.

Thanks for clearing my mind.

Ignite is also a sure kill if you cast it 2-3 seconds after his ult. If he doesn't win the fight, Tryndamere is unlikely to actually get away alive after ulting.

Your best ticket to dealing with him in 3's is to either pick him first or just ban him.

His weaknesses are much more exploitable on SR where you can just burst him, lock him down and then finish him off with ignite. In 3's bringing along someone like Teemo might be a mistake.

So the safest way to handle it is to ban him.

Fizz's w passive works on him in undying rage, I'm think? (could be wrong) But if it is the case then hit him with a W+Q when he has a 2-3 seconds left of undying rage, E away and watch as he dies. Or just R = slow + knock up = goodbye a good 3 seconds of his invincibility
