I haven't played a ranked game in a long time, but have played normal games regularly. Will my ranked game elo be affected by the elo decay system?

no, theres no decay due to time.
you only lose elo when you lose.

Source?

Some ELO systems do have decay to prevent the rich getting richer (as it were), and to encourage players to play frequently to stay at the top basically.

There is elo decay as said by Zileas.

You have to play ranked for there not to be decay on your ranked elo (this is true because the players who were level 20-29 when solo ranked required level 30 asked whether his ranked elo would decay and it was confirmed that it would).

Link? I'd like to know details (like how long does it take to start decaying). No mention of decay in his MM explained post.

Interesting... "in a queue" though, does that mean from both normal and ranked or just ranked? Assuming ranked...

- Elo decays at a rate of 25 per week for both normal and ranked ratings
- Elo will not decay below a rating of 1400
