How to increase my fps?

Im running a pretty good system and im stuck at 60 fps

Here are the specs

Biostar TA870U3+ AMD 870 Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3, AMD 870 Chipset, DDR3 1600MHz, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, 6-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0

AMD HDT35TWFGRBOX Phenom II X6 1035T Processor - Six Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 3MB L2 Cache, 2.60GHz (3.10GHz Max Turbo), Socket AM3

Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB PC12800 DDR3 RAM - 1600MHz, 4x4096MB, Non-ECC, Unbuffered

T925-5002 Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC

Using a HAF X Tower with four cooling fans

For graphics I have a ati 6970 1 gb ddr5

For settings everything maxed atm. So what am I doing wrong?

60 fps is good tbh. More than that your eyes barely notice the difference anyway.

Change the cap to Benchmark if you want it uncapped.

if your fps is over 30 it does not need to change

Fun fact: The human eyes only see things at about 30 fps anyways. you wont be able to tell the difference between 60 and 120.

You can tell the difference between 60 and 120, it is actually very noticeable. But go in the options and turn off V-Sync. That limits your max frame rate to your monitors refresh rate.

to get your fps to show over 60, turn off V-Sync and set fps to Benchmark.
