There's a lot of videos of people hacking on the PBE. Things like unlimited masteries, TONS OF GOLD (DAMAGE) at the start, etc. I was wondering if there is a setting in the PBE to do this. I know it's a stupid question but it just looks fun as hell.

There is an outside program that lets people hack the mastery pages and get as many points into one mastry as they want. It is not approved or alright.

No there isn't.
The hack was patched ~2 weeks ago.

It wasn't a hack. It was an exploit involving the mastery transition from client to server.
The exploit allowed a player to spend more points on masteries than functionally intended... this resulted in instant recharge summoner spells, godly stat boosts, and bonus starting gold. Some masteries don't have diminishing returns or limits. This would explain the massive boosts on game start.

All of which you describe was part of the exploit which was patched very quickly.

While PBE is for finding things like this, it certainly won't facilitate their extended use as they are exploits after all. Like 6v6 twisted treeline, it may have been fun but it wasn't intended.

And it's completely impossible that they found another way around it because it is obviously still happening.

nothing is truly unhackable.. Its just that good programming makes it significantly harder to hack.
