league of legends maestro error after patch

After the recent patch, I am unable to get into the game. I clicked 'Play' on the patcher, and when it gets to the login screen of the client a box comes up called 'Maestro Error' saying "League of Legends has lost contact with Maestro. League of Legends will now exit. Please try restarting the application."

Of course, restarting results in the same results. I can't get into the client, this error keeps popping up and I don't know what to do. I want to see the surprise in the store too! ;;

Can you go through and make sure these have been tried:
1. Restart your computer
2. Temporarily Disable/Make exceptions in your Anti-virus/Anti-spyware software
3. Temporarily Disable/Make exceptions in your Firewall
4. Disable process protection software.
5. Make sure you're running software in Administrative Mode/With admin privileges
6. In Windows Vista/Windows 7, double check your Account Controls
7. Reset your Internet Explorer Settings and make sure you have not disabled scripting options

This happens to me every patch. Restarting my pc is the only way to connect to the League servers. (Cold boot not just clicking restart)

I have the exact same problem and restarting is the only way to fix it.

Honestly it's so annoying I rather just not play LoL than restart my PC. No one seems to know how to fix this **** soooo no more LoL for me until it gets fixed.

This has happened to me twice today, but it does it while I'm in Champion selection. Because of this, I have to wait because of the Leaving Champion Selection Penalty.
