12 months for a map
~10 and beyond for new skills on a blue person and a rat

and tencent controls the payroll. which is why the beloved lore department was pretty much cut. but hohums said that there were too many junior engineers and not enough senior engineers. that could be why some of its moving slowly

You're the one whose angry.

You make dumb assumptions about Riot because you've heard nothing about new plans they have, as if you deserve to know or something.
News flash, you didn't know anything about Dominion until 1~2 monthes before they announced it.

Not exactly disproving my point there, now take a deep breath and chill

No single player knows what sort of new map the entire player-population wants either.
And Riot staff have said over a dozen times that Tencent has no influence on their development direction. (Even the removal of skulls from skins are just Riot respecting chinese laws by their own decision-making)

i personally think dominion was a great idea, maybe not for the competitive scene but it gives the player base a choice between a long, competitve, back and forth game mode, and short, light hearted, fun game mode.

both dominion and SR are incredibly fun. And tbh, based on this article, im glad they shelved magma chamber, SR has really perfected the classic moba gameplay that LoL has to offer and theres no real reason to create another map just to do the exact same thing, if anything it wouldve been visually more appealing than SR but probably wouldnt have been as good gameplay wise.

What Im also taking from that is Dominion took a year, and we aren't even hearing rumors about anything else on the horizon.

Yea cause there were loads of rumors about dominion before it was announced by Riot...

Oh wait. Riot kept it on lockdown.

It also wouldn't make sense to release any more maps. Too much splitting of the game population.

Once you get into the higher rating games you see exactly how long, competitive and back and forth Dominion games can be. There will always be the one-sided stomps or the drawn out coin-toss games in both game modes.

I would argue that Dominion is a much more intense game mode, as opposed to sitting in a laning phase for a good portion of a Summoner's Rift game. For the most part there is constant action across the entire map for the duration of the game.
