Veigar is a glass cannon, lots of burst, but very weak in terms of defense. Get caught without your Event Horizon up and you're probably dead.

Annie is very bursty as well, has a controlled stun, lots of AoE damage. Has no real defense besides you must burst your attacker to get him to panic or kill him. Very fun to play and lots of potential.

TF is a very nice hero. Very squishy though. Map teleport, global enemy reveal, abiltiy to pull red cards for aoe damage, blue on towers or creeps for some mana, and gold to stun and demolish. Puts out a lot of fast steady damage, and one of my favorite heroes.

Haven't played Janna or Amumu.

Amumu or Janna. There are plenty of people running around as mages//carries.

Twisted Fate. Amumu and Janna are very team dependant, at least, that's how they are best played. Veigar is great, but he's a 1 shot/target so if you miss you are useless. Annie is the easiest person to play but she needs kills to be viable. Twisted fate can go DPS or AP, I prefer AP for insane burst damage. you have a global teleport, stun, mana replenishment, slow+dmg, and also a giant-ish nuke with lots of ap lol.

Annie's the safe choice - the one champ you're guaranteed to enjoy playing, even if not for as long as another more unique champion. (I voted her.) She's got the wtfpwn 1-2-3 nuke combo, and can always contribute to the team.

Depending on your style of play and personality, you may like one of the others better.
Janna: Very good support champion. Requires timing, positioning, communication, and coordination, though.
Amumu: A good tank. If you are good at understanding when to initiate, and can get people to follow your lead, then he's lots of fun.
TF: Very difficult champion to learn, because he requires more map awareness than any other champion in the game (as well as using map awareness to your advantage.) However, he can be lots of fun if you do master map awareness. He is versatile in build possibilities and tactics, so his fun factor will last longer than many other champions.
Veigar: A bit of an odd nuker. He used to be very underpowered, but they've significantly buffed him (changed his passive, ultimate, and other buffs.) If you want a nuker that's more complicated to play than Annie (and thus has more lasting appeal,) Veigar's a better choice.
