As Vintath and Forte left for the bow of the ship the sailor replied, "Yes, ma'am," to Forte's order.
When they reached the bow, Melzemar said, "Good, you're here. I see you brought the summoner," he then addressed Forte, "I don't suppose you know any spells that control weather? That's what Vintath and I are going to do," He then addressed Vintath, "Vintath, prepare the storm shield."
"Yes sir," replied Vintath. He then began drawing a chalk pentacle with runes and glyphs around it.

Forte looked at Melzemar, then to the approaching storm, then back to him.

"Not for this magnitude. Air elementary magic isn't apart of my repertoire. Perhaps I can help - Vintath is it? - as an auxiliary power supply. A living battery, as this case might be."

Zero simply waited and watched. She kept her witch sight on; but even if the storm was magical, she would have to wait until it manifested in a way she could interact with it. No, using her power would greatly reduce the powers of others, and that would be unwise until worse comes to worst.

"That would be helpful, yes," said Melzemar, "Just try to feed him power."
As Melzemar said this Vintath said, "Ready when you are, Melzemar."
"Do it," Melzemar replied.
Vintath stood in his pentacle and slammed his staff into the center. He spoke a word of power and his eyes glowed bright green. The pentacle glowed green from where his staff struck the deck, and lines and glyphs branched out all over the ship from it. A shimmering green shield manifested around the ship. Melzemar stepped into a pentacle that had appeared which was connected to Vintath's and began transfering power to him. Melzemar gestured for Forte to step into a similar pentacle that had appeared.
((So now the ship is covered in green lines, glyphs, and runes, aswell as a green semi-transparent shield.))

As the storm drew closer, those with the ability to see magic could see that it was no normal storm. It was intensely powerful. Though it was still some distance away, a lightning bolt arced out from it and struck the shield with thunderous BOOM. Electricity crackled around the shield, and the storm drew ever closer.

Aine looked around at the shield and, more importantly, the approaching storm. It was magnificient, really...but not natural. That much was clear. At least, it was clear to her.

((She doesn't know she had Elvin blood, but it still helps her. It's why she's agile, a good smith, and has magical sight.))

She stood next to the trio of mages maintaining the shield. "So...you think this'll hold out? 'Cause that thing looks...angry."

"Blast," uttered Nite again.

Clamp skittered around up on the deck, eventually he came to a halt between Zero's legs. Clamp spread his legs, locking himself in position, claws embedded in Zero's footwear.

Nite gave more powers to the elementals below the ship, the he set his hand down on the ship itself, he willed a portion of his own power to Vintath, using the ship itself as a conduit, the barrier's strength would be heightened.

Overlord Forte raised an eyebrow as the lightning bolt struck the ship's shield.

"I dearly hope this isn't a maelstrom, walking the ocean floor is a tiring affair." She said in a loud voice, speaking over crackling energy. Forte stepped onto the pentacle Melzemar signaled out and folded her hands together in a meditative form. Closing her one seeing eye, she focused on siphoning her mana reservoir across the connection to Vintath.

Harmonizing herself, Forte took stock of the ambient environment. Magical power danced across her senses but peculiarities in the flow drew her attention. The rhythmic pulsing of the barrier was easy to separate - yet the spikes outside the ship and a third mana flow from the ship itself were greatly troubling.

This ship has a Hextech power core? Why need us for the shield then? She pondered.

Suddenly, a group of crewman exploded onto the deck from below. The one who seemed to be leading them said, "We're taking control of this here ship!" and he took a pistol and shot the captain in the chest. He then shot at Melzemar, who had been shocked out of his concentrration by the first shot.
Seeing he would be unable to act in time, Vintath put a shield up for Melzemar, but in the instant he did that the shield flickered, and whether by coincidence or because it was waiting for it, lightning llashed out from he storm again.
It struck Vintath in the chest. A basic defense shield came up, though it was not enough, and he was sent hurtling backwards onto the main deck of the ship. The shield vanished, and the storm broke over.

A mutiny occurring at the same time as a ferocious storm... Zero's deduction worked fast, and knew that such a thing was no mere coincidence. As fighting began breaking out between the loyalist crew and the traitors, Zero continued to remain passive- acting like a frightened crew member, easy in this chaos and the driving rain.

She singled out the mutiny leader. She waited until the melee among the crew began to reach a pitch. She realized that dealing with the storm would have to wait- and that her powers would only hamper the magi on board the ship. She was resourceful and decisive, seeing a mop and a bucket- quietly she broke off the mop's head, hiding in plain sight as a confused and scared crew member until her opening would show itself...

((Assuming that fighting breaks out)) Despite her abnormal abilities, She was a trained martial-artist at heart. Zero never charged into combat head-on, but began tactically making her way to the leader. She tosses the bucket at an armed foe- relieving a gun from a nearby hand first and foremost. She slips into the melee, her Null Shrouding beginning to take its effect as stress and combat pumped adrenaline throughout her Pariah system. This caused her to become invisible in even normal men's peripheral vision for a moment- a moment she exploited, tripping one assailant and delivering an elbow to another's face, following up and bringing him down with another elbow in a fluid, organic motion- and finishing with a rising knee to ensure the man would not stand up.

One she reached the mutiny leader she performs a trained take down maneuver- starting with the broomstick to disarm the gun- striking the man's hand hard, then smoothly moving and throwing her coat over his face- leaving her in her sleeveless black shirt- then finishing with a staff thrust to his solar plexus, to rapidly knock the wind out of him. All the while her glasses were still on, secured.

Failing that, she'd have to engage him in melee.

Rain lashed against the crewmen now that the shield was gone, and the mutiny party seemed to be winning. Seeing Zero approach, the mutiny leader said a word and moved his hand like he was throwing a baseball. An orb of necrotic energy was sent straight at Zero. It was moderate in power. Not waiting to see what the effect would be, he drew his cutlass and advanced on her.
Melzemar rained spells upon the mutineers. He sent waves of magic at them and used the rain to his advantage. A glyph appeared and many of the mutineers had all the water around them and that which was covering them freeze, coating them in a layer of ice.
Vintath lay on the deck, a black hole in the chest of his robes. There were scorch marks on the deck where he had been standing when he was hit with a lightning bolt.
