This would only make the game a lot shorter and I like long Dom games sometimes... 4v4 wouldnt be bad though. A lot more strategic planning would go into playing Dom with 4v4. 6v6 would just end up either one team being OP and winning in a matter of 5-10 minutes...

That's not true. Imo, the more champions can be on the map, the more balanced game is (unless you talk about ridiculous numbers, like 20vs20 where any AoE is op). Look, how unbalanced is 3vs3 TT, compared to 5vs5 SR. Imagine, how unbalanced would be 2vs2 or 1vs1.
6vs6 would be more balanced than 5vs5. Especially in Dominion, where AoE isn't that strong.

I'd like to see it, if only to see whether it makes a serious difference to bot lane, see whether duo bot becomes the default.

Truth.

6 players a side is likely to reinforce the "defend 3 nodes until you win" strategy. It doesn't need reinforcing.

If you want to force a meta change I think there should be only one buff in the middle of the map, and the buff should be transferable upon death. Most people don't even try to interrupt buff capture because if you're late it's too embarrassing to die in the middle of the map. Since the buff isn't transferable and you can pretty much counter a buff with hard CC around a turret (with equal numbers, at least), the risk of capture interruption is too high. If there was only one buff and it was transferable then people would have a reason to fight over the area, but there would still need to be an additional change as well, like -10 nexus health to the opposing team or something. Then a losing team could target the buff to draw the winning team away, or a team could rush the buff after an ace since rushing the opponent's mid or bottom is usually a poor decision.
