from a marketing stand point this hypothesis is completely flawed
how to you market to something that is essentially not-human: "a genderless, sexless, raceless being"

humans aren't defined by their genders, sexes, or races, but by their experiences, their wants and desires, their fears, their dreams

As for how you market a thing to an audience without gender, *** or race, duh. You market it to an audience with certain desires and demands.

Derp more, or less?

Those things are indeed factors, and so is the gender/age/race that has a majority of a particular factor. Who are Barbies marketed to? Little girls. That doesn't mean a grown woman or a teenage boy can't buy one, it just means that's the aimed audience because that's typically who likes that product.

Most video games are typically aimed at men and boys of all ages. Nintendogs + Cats is obviously aimed at mostly young girls. Is it wrong for someone not in the "intended" audience to purchase these games? Absolutely not. Should anyone be discouraged and made fun of if they are an "unexpected" consumer? Absolutely not.

Which are determined, in part, by their gender, sex and race.

In the words of someone I once read... Derp more, or less?
