This will affect all Americans.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Except we already have our own version of martial law and it's been invoked several times

Except when it was invoked it was mostly used for conscription.

It must be pretty hard for someone like you to read the relevant part of the bill, especially the clause that says "Does not affect American citizens or legally residing aliens"

Thats what they want you to think. They took that part out and now they can do it to all US citizens.

This affects several ammendments.

It does apply to US citizens. Just ask Senator Lindsey Graham.

This is what Dr. Ron Paul has to say about it:

Whether it applies to US citizens or other individuals really is moot- detention without charge or trial is against the Habeas Corpus.

See, when you say things like this I know you're full of ****. I just went to the official government printing website, and the version presented to the President still includes the clause:

"Section 1021(e) AUTHORITIES.—Nothing in this section shall be construed
to affect existing law or authorities relating to the detention of
United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States,
or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United
States."

You dumb ****.

I mean, when a law clearly states that it has NO impact on existing law or authority regarding detention of US Citizens, I guess that means it does.

What 'ammendments'
What is an 'ammendment, anyway?
