Obama, to be honest, isn't at fault. The wording of the bill is EXTREMELY ambiguous, and the proposition sounds nothing like what would actually happen if the bill were to be passed.

I can't tell if you're trying to imply that Obama is incompetent enough to not understand the possibilities of such a bill or that he shouldn't have to understand the bills he passes.

No, I'm saying that Obama IS NOT at fault, and the way the bill was written just sucks

And why isn't he at fault? He signed the bill, which means he agrees with its contents and would like to see it passed. So he either agrees with the indefinite detaining or he isn't intelligent/competent enough to understand what the bill he signed entails.

You can't really believe in that. My best friend spend 2 years in US and he said that you ppl live in some delusion of being free. As he described it (and as I later read) the laws in your country are quite alot like those that we had in our country 20 years ago in the socialism.
Not like it's bad, but you're just being heavy brainwashed about all this land of the free thing.

This is why I said 'boasts the highest level of...' and not 'has the highest level of...'

That statement is not my beliefs, but the truth. America DOES boast the highest level of freedom...

He's not as fault because to get to him, it had to go through senate, and it passed through there with a vote of 96 to 4...

Before we could morally, or even intelligently point a finger at Obama, we would have to blame the senate.

Personally, I think the entire system is obsolete...it was created to fit the needs almost 300 years ago, and does very little to satisfy today..

I'm not saying Obama is the only one at fault. Of course the people who proposed and passed the bill before it reached him are also to blame, but the fact remains that he didn't have a problem with it either.

As for the system, we're in need of a huge overhaul, I agree.
