The two I know of are Trundle/Anivia start boots5. Run top and wall the enemy off. Gives your team an easy cap top.

Because most people come thru the jungle where the lane is not as wide...so anivia's lvl 2 wall could block the lane.

So no, you can't run around something that can't be ran around.

Nice try on the sarcasm though.

If you can get fiddlesticks into the top bushes, he can Ult at any time and really dominate enemy defenders. This requires a big enough attack force so that they dont simply beat him down as he approaches.
Then, attackers can wait for Fiddle to charge up and all go in and mop-up.

-----

Kog Maw is very good at holding Top by hiding in top bushes. Ult can interrupt any cap attempt, forcing enemy to go top bushes after him. He drops Puke Carpet and decimates them before they can get into range to do much.
In any case it causes signficant delay for the attackers.

-----

Then there is the obvious Rammus powerball/ghost/boots which can get him top and very close to capping before enemy can respond. With a bit of luck and distraction can take the top before enemy can fully commit to battle.

--------

A node defender can hide "around the corner" on the bottom and not be seen for the bottom nodes. Enemy has to get right on top of you to notice you, while you retain full view of them. Makes enemy not think there is a defender, or think their IS a hidden defender when youve gone B, giving you a strategic advantage.
