don't see why not. although its less pushing based but more skirmish, kill 2 or more, then push. So anything that assures kills is better overall.

It could certainly be useful, but there a few problems that making using it generally a novelty:

-It is almost required in the current TT meta that every champ has flash. There are simply too many useful wall jumps to not take it. This leaves each champ with just one slot for another summoner spell.
-If the enemy team has a Trynd, an exhaust and ignite are almost mandatory to prevent him from snowballing after just one kill. Even without a Trynd, having both an ignite and exhaust is generally a good idea, for dealing with healers and AD carries, respectively
-Smite is almost always taken as well, for the XP advantage jungling gives as well as the security on dragon. If your team has smite and the enemy team doesn't, you SHOULD get every single dragon, unless they have Cho or Nunu(lol).
-Almost every champ that eliminates the need for one of the above spells is better off with something that isn't promote. For example, Trynd doesn't need flash, but there is no reason to take promote over cleanse on him.
-The only champs that would want promote over another summoner spell are support, which generally aren't used in the TT meta
-Kiting promoted minions into the spawn laser makes them once useless the enemy is pushed to the nexus tower.

The issue isn't really that promote is BAD on TT, it's probably better here than on SR honestly. The problem is with the more limited number of summoner spells per team, there's no room to take it when better spells are out there.

I think, (although i haven't tried this yet) this could be a good way to farm, since you get gold for their kills
you could promote a minion and leave it alone up top, then farm below to gain double gold, does this work?
