Don't let them choose the battlefields? Have some CC/silence onhand? Get cleanse?

The minute you see an AoE composition, you should know exactly what to expect, meaning you should rarely be surprised by what's happening and can prepare for it.

Also, all those abilities you listed have pretty significant cooldown times. It sounds like the enemy team can only really fight once every two minutes or so... Their strategy is an all-in attack. Thwart it at all and you've won.

Saying Janna is a nice advice. But in Draft mode, if I want to lead an AOE team, I will just ban Janna 100% of the time.

Be aware. It's surprisingly easy to predict where Fiddles is going to jump out at you from. They're pushing your inner mid tower? Odds are Fiddles is going to go wait in the bushes between the entrance to the Lizard-side jungle and the wraith camp. When you see him go missing and Amumu starts maneuvering for a Bandage, have your whole team rush that bush (or, ward it ahead of time). Fiddles is nowhere near as powerful if you can keep him from ulting, and the rest of their team will be caught off guard.

Get someone on your team to play Blitzcrank, Janna or Gragas. I prefer Blitz between the 3 - AoE teams seem very dependent on fighting on their terms, so if you can grab one and force them into a fight on your terms, or kill one of them forcing a 4v5, you'll probably win.

Another way to beat AOE teams is to split up and push. AOE teams thrive on being able to kill just about anyone from full with the combined force of all of their Ults in a 5v5 fight. They have a harder time killing someone from full without using their Ults or without being 5v5, and their ults are on a long cooldown. If you split into multiple groups, you force them to either A) split up themselves, leaving them without the massive advantage of the 5v5 AOE, or B) focus on one group, leaving the other group(s) to take the towers they are pushing. And if they pick B), they have to chose between using all of their ults to kill that group, putting those ults on cooldown for an upcoming fight (making it so the other 3-4 people might be able to kill them), or not using their ults and likely letting that group get away.
