Both items have description "reduce attack speed by XX%"
I've tested that attack speed reduction and here are the results:

Randuin's Omen:
Passive reduces attack speed by 35% from base aspd (0.658)
Active reduces atack speed by 35% from total(!) aspd (max 2.5)
Active debuff is added to passive.

Frozen Heart:
Aura reduces the attack speed by 20% from total(!) aspd (max 2.5)

For example if you play against teemo or any other aspd char:
His aspd: 2.5
Debuff from Frozen Heart 2.5*0.8=2
Difference is 2.5-2=0.5 (75% from base aspd)

40% aspd Recurve Bow costs 1050. The price of 75% aspd is 1969 gold

As a summary, by taking only one item Frozen Heart you deducting from your opponent's build up to 1969 gold. And that's only one enemy. In case all the enemies are AD you'll decuct up to 9845 gold from their team.

In real game when they have just a couple of AD summoners this number will be around 2000. But for 3075 gold you receive:
99 armor
500 mana
20% CDR
-2000 enemy team gold in aspd debuff.

Pretty strong debuff, isn't it?

Assuming it is a 5v5 teamfight, yes. And I laugh at the tanks that get Thornmail. And the teams that don't get Randuin's Omen/Frozen Heart and instead choose to scream OP at Tryndamere.

Why don't you keep building thornmail? I'm sure it'll help.

Your team should always be capable of getting Randuin's Omen and/or Frozen Heart for anti-carry, because both items are good options for a wide variety of champions besides just tanks. Frozen Heart is great for supports, tanky-ap champions like Nunu, tanks, and some older tanky-dps/bruisers like Malphite and Blitzcrank (might have named the only two). Randuin's Omen is great on most tanky-dps/bruisers, melee carries that need toughness, and all tanks. Both of these items are actually core on Malphite btw, and his synergy with them is part of the reason why he is the best anti-carry in the game.

Aegis of the Legion should also be taken by most teams. It is a useable item on a carry under some circumstances, but is best taken by a support, bruiser/tanky-dps, or tank. Btw, if more than one champion need this item, it is ok for them to both take it. They both benefit fully from the item, and auras stack in such a way that if multiple people have the aura item than those people can each get the aura twice.

Well, if you want to negate FH aura, you can always get SF . FH is more used then SF in general tough.
