How to deny enemy champions EXP / Gold

The biggest complaint I see about league of legends compared to HoN or dota is creep denying by killing your own creeps, I believe LoL took this into great consideration when making the game and made the right choice by not including creep denying, as instead of being a successful player just by killing NPCs, players must constantly adapt to changes in positioning, skill cool downs etc, rather than just "how much health is this creep on"

Here's what you can do to deny, if you dont know how.

- Attack the enemy champion when he is about to last hit to deny him, keep last hitting without being denied,

- Constantly move to avoid auto attacking pushing the lane, allowing you to consistently harass and denying free gold from farming at the turret,

- Control brush to drop aggro after harassing, and use brush to harrass behind enemy creep lines. (Stand behind the creep line until the next wave is arriving, go into the brush until the new wave picks targets, go back behind the creep line and continue denying)

- Stand behind the enemy creep line to block opponent out of EXP range after successfully harassing them down to low HP

- Prevent all of the above whilst doing all of the above to win your lane.

Any of the above is far more difficult and focus on killing your OPPONENT instead of minions, making for faster, tense gameplay (if you choose to play well)

However, as most people are relativly new to these concepts (since 99% of people in solo queue will constantly auto attack creeps, push the lane and **** things up for you when you want to deny) it seems as though creep denying by killing your own creeps is some kind of super strategy,

but it requires more strategy to kill and attack enemy champions to deny them as opposed to simply attacking minions.

Kill them. Hard for them to last hit while dead.

and this thread is teaching you how to kill them, if they're playing optimally.

to "kill them" does not include pushing the creep wave to their turret and giving them free farm, which is what 99% of players do.

its obviously not free farm when the tower kills 90% of the minions and they only get exp but no gold.

Last hitting at a tower is not difficult, especially with a proper partner as the turret's damage is predictable.

Auto attack > Tower hit > Auto attack = full HP caster minion last hit

Auto attack > Tower hit > Tower hit > Auto attack = Full HP Melee minion last hit

Auto attacks can be replaced and timed with minion attacks.

Pushing the creep wave back out after being pushed to the tower is also simple to do- if you're laning properly (not attacking minions, but focusing on harassing) you shouldnt have a problem with zoning them from EXP range when minions are at / near your tower.

So i hope you dont give me that LOL PUSH MINIONS TO TOWER, STOP LAST HITS bull.

It is free farm when they know how to last hit under a tower.

Caster minion: Attack once, let tower attack once, attack again to kill.
Melee minion: Attack once, let tower attack twice, attack again to kill.
Siege minion: Tower deals reduced damage to them, so just wait until they're low and snipe the last hit.

You won't get ALL the last hits when you have your minions attacks mixed in, but you can get a good amount of last hits, plus you're harass-free at your tower.

Boo, I'm too slow >.>

You should only be pushing to the tower if you have a method of keeping them from last hit farming. In other words, you need to harass the enemy champion's HP down to the point where he'll hug his tower, and then you need a skill that is good enough at harassment that you can continue to do it even -at- the tower, and eventually dive for a kill. Otherwise, pushing to the tower is only going to be beneficial for your opponents.

Still, playing aggressively can be extremely beneficial early game if you have the right hero composition in your lane. Before mindlessly spouting that, "PUSH 2 TOWER IZ BAD," read TheHeretic's "Playing to be Evil", and some of condon's writing, alongside countless other guides written with an aggressive mindset. Pushing to the tower early can be, and should be done in certain situations, but it's up to the individual to decide when to do it.

The amount of people who slap at minion really pisses me off. I can get more creeps (20-30 more) than the ****ing soloer with a crappy champion on a sidelane just because I know how to last hit. It's really upsetting.
