So with season 1 coming out soon, I want to start saving IP for Tank runes. I am wondering whether I should go;

Flat HP
Hp/lvl
Regen/5

And for which rune set.

I hv yellow hp/lvl
I have Flat HP quints.

Any suggestions. I am thinking pure HP/Lvl.

Pure Tank?

Quints,2 MS and an MR quint.

Seals,HP/lv

Glyphs,Flat MR

With masteries you are looking at well over 20 extra MR then 120 hp or so extra at lv18.

For marks though magic pen.

Just as a suggestion, never use HP/Level, they are completely worthless.

Other than flat HP Quints I think Health is definitely the wrong way to go for a tank. The added health you have at end-game from hp/level runes is fairly minimal, especially if your intention is to take the brunt of your team fights. Dodge, Armour, and Magic Resist will all go much furrther.

flat hp quits are always good and i like dodge seals and MR/lvl glyphs, and armor marks or try to get some mana renen in there if ur on a mana tank

Pretty much what they said, but I'll echo:

MR reds
Dodge yellows (NOT HP PER LEVEL)
flat magic resist blues
HP/flat magic resist quints

I run magic pen reds
HP/level yellows
flat magic resist blues
2 flat hp quints, 1 magic pen quint

The HP allows me to purchase tanky items without HP, like Glacial Shroud.

yellow = dodge
black = health
blue = armor / mage resist you pick
red = your preferred form of penetration

heck I use dodge on every champion not just tanks... it's like free EHP
