jax is food for rammus

Early game, Rammus wins...late game, Jax >> any champion

Rule #1 - don't 1vs1 Jax (something most Tryns and Yi's always seem to forget)

SotD is always a good Jax counter for melee's.
Thornmail is not that useful, its better to have MR items.
Casters do pretty well against Jax if they can cc + burst him.

But the truth is, the best counter to Jax is to win quickly.

After 15 minutes, Jax is God.

I can take down Jax as trynd without too much trouble later game, even without sotd, though it may be necessary to pop the ult against a farmed jax. If I do get sotd against a jax team, it'll usually be after either my IE or Black Cleaver, depending on how the game's going.

I find that I can generally shut Jax down and break him with Garen, who is an over all good pick for Dominion

My personal strategy is to troll with silence and riftwalk around tower an dlet it kill him. If he tries to run, you've won.

Also, Exhaust is nice against him.

Nasus with a Frozen Heart actually does really well vs Jax. He's generally seen as a bad pick in Dominion, but it straight up isn't true, and he hard counters Jax.

I've been able to take on late game Jax 1v1 with Nasus several times, although it can get close if the RNG gods are not on my side.

I've also had success with Veigar, and LeBlanc butt ****s him.

Frozen heart if you're an AP mana caster
Sword of the Divine if you're auto attacking AD.
Armor if your anything else.
