I have to say, after playing a few games of Dominion, I dislike it quite a bit. Certain champs are extremely op on it, whereas others are nothing but useless. There is basically no balance.

Calm down. With each new play style come new imbalances. Naturally when you change the objective of the game you end up changing which champs are more effective.
Have you played TT in a while? Trynd and Jax are ADORED by regular TT players for the same reason they are adored by D players. Rethink your strategies, possibly stop trying to play certain champs that just arn't suited for this mode (Viegar and Sona come to mind). Many of the champs that don't do well in D also don't do terribly well in TT. I'm sure when you dry your tears you'll come to accept that a new map naturally will come with new "imbalances".
The question is: When Riot considers upcoming nerfs and buffs, will they be able to balance both D & SR?

yes, BECAUSE THEY WILL USE SEPERATE STAT AND SKILL SHEETS FOR DOMINION AND SR, jesus h christ, ive said this a MILLION times and this is something riot has hinted at. they arnt gonna change a champ directly just so it becomes balanced on CS, because 99% chance that will break it on SR

Think of Dominion and TT as Arcade Mode while your SR is your Simulation mode.
