Skill/Abilities

Passive: Lethal Improvisation

Every 9th/8th/7th attack Jahi loads a burning spear that has an auto attack range of 800 and does 3 +(1 x level) magic damage over 4 seconds

Note: Jahi's weapon fires out several different models of weapons including knives, swords, maces, rocks and shrapnel but only the spear has a different characteristic. The different projectiles are simply for flavour (except for the spear)

Q: DPG- Jahi fires a Devastator-Propelled-Grenade, arcing the explosive at a range of 850 to deal 70 / 120 / 170 / 20 / 270 (+0.7 per ability power) magic damage with a radius of 235. Any enemy champions along the edge of the explosion gets pushed back 200, should the knockback take the champion to a wall or tower they will become stunned. Mana: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110

W: Grappling Hook- Jahi fires a grappling hook, propelling the hook to the target which can include minions and champions. This ability can also be used on walls rather than having the hook pass through it. Should the target have lower percentage hp than Jahi, they will be pulled to him. Should Jahi have lower percentage hp than the target, he will pull himself to the target. Range: 850

E: Bolas shot: After a 1.5 second delay (which includes a targeting array centered on the enemy champion) Jahi fires a bolas which wraps around the enemies legs and roots them in place for 2 seconds dealing 80 / 115 / 170 / 215 / 250 (+0.6 per ability power) magic damage. Max Range 800, moving out of max range cancels the effect

R: Viva La Revolution: The Devastator Improvisational Cannon unveils its true power and unfolds to allow Jahi to bunker himself and become a stationary turret. Jahi reduces all incoming damage by 20% and unleashes a heavy machine gun on the battlefield and firing in the direction of the cursors position dealing 100 / 150 / 200 (+.6 per bonus attack damage) physical damage per second and snaring the enemy for 10/20/30% of their movement speed. Jahi is immobile during the duration but this ult can be canceled at any time. Duration: 5 seconds. Range: 1200. Mana cost: 100 mana. Cooldown: 150,140, 130 seconds. Jahi yells loudly during the duration which is audible to all players.

Story

South of the Great Barrier and deep within the Kumungu Jungle lives several tribes of humans that have survived not only the harshness of the inhospitable jungle but also the devastating effects of the Rune Wars. Covering a large area of villages, these tribes are culturally distinct from one another yet remain nonetheless amicable. Though previously discovered by a popular Piltover explorer ages ago, the tribes had little to no contact with the outside world.

That is until the war between Demacia and Noxus started...

The only memories Jahi ever had of his childhood were a mother's gentle voice, a long arduous travel north, and a strange carving that he forever kept hidden under his shirt."Adopted" by the rich Demacian family, the Brightwoods, he was told that he was found starving alone in the Kumungu wilderness. The head of the household, Darron Brightwood, taught Jahi politics, education, and the rules of the upper class. Detesting the stuck-up attitudes of upper society, Jahi would escape into the lower class areas of Demacia and talk amongst the people there instead. Jahi soon found he had an innate gift with people, possessing strong speaking skills and great charisma. He listened to what they said to him with sadness, tales of unfair laws, lower class discrimination, and poverty. It tore at his heart to hear of the injustices of society in both Noxus and Demacia and promised himself that he would eventually make a difference in the world.

One day, while sneaking out of the Brightwood compound, Jahi overheard Darron speaking to another high-class noble about his clever plan of orphaning a young Kumungu child, teaching him "proper" civilization, then releasing him back into the tribes with the instruction to pacify the community. Darron had foreseen the coming war between Demacia and Noxus and endevoured to harvest the resources of Kumungu to provide for his weapon manufacturing business. Horrified, Jahi escaped into the night. Tears running down his young face, Jahi thought of his parents, his people, and his future.

Many years later, the collective Kumungu tribes were approached by a good-looking and well-dressed Kumungu man with a Demiacian entourage. Darron watched on with glee as the persuasive young man approached the tribes speaking the Kumungu language perfectly. Darron decided to leave pacification to Jahi and retire to his luxurious outpost.

Weeks later a united Kumungu army stood victorious over the burning wreckage of the demacian outpost. A man stood in front, now free of his Demacian attire and wielding a pilfered Piltover weapon which could fire any projectile at rapid speed. He spoke to the crowd about courage, about liberation, about freedom.

He spoke about revolution.

Appearance

Jahi is a mid-sized black male dressed in light combat fatigues coloured green. He is in a revolutionary pose, with his free hand curled in a fist and thrust in the air. His other shoulder holds a strange Piltover device.

A fun concept from a lore perspective.

Passive seems kind of weak, though... Like a crappy version of GP's :P. Even if he has ranged attacks, GP's stacks, has a snare, and can be applied by his Q (which is also ranged).

Also a Gragas barrel with a potential built in stun seems extremely powerful for a Q... It seems like it would be an utter nightmare to lane against in a duo bottom situation. I'm imagining Poppy or Vayne slamming you into a wall with the other guy following up with something else... only at range and you don't even need to come in from the right angle since you can just lob it beside the guy.

And how is it determined if the W goes through the wall or not?

Oh, and it should probably be called the The Devastator Improvisational Cannon or The Improvisational Devastator Cannon, because Devastator Improvisation Cannon sounds more like comedian lore than a gun :P

I've been throwing some ideas around for the passive, you're probably right that the passive is somewhat underpowered. I was thinking of maybe implementing this one

Passive: Inspiring presence: As long as Jahi is firing, allies withing 1000 radius can 19 armour and magic resist.

The Q doesn't have the knockback range of Gragas's barrel, his being a max knockback of 800. You would only really catch people who move too close to walls. Poppy and Jahi would make a devastating combination.

If it was called the Devastator Improv cannon I could see the confusion but I'll consider the change.
