((I too accept this challenge! Okay finally posting, hope this fits your needs SmileyDemon!))

A legacy written in blood, formed from tradition as it's core and vengeance in it's wake. A longbow unparalleled in accuracy and force, the countless amount of lives it has retributed from it's past owners have only updated it's fierce reputation... A notoriety that has stirred many summoners in it's path, even the High Council of Equity could not disagree with it's properties. They acted swiftly to safe keeping the original bow from it's violent, yet honorable past. "You may say your last words, with a whisper." The rune engraving still unkempt on the limbs of the weapon, glowed a magnificent aquamarine tint. The silver string of the sturdiest wire, lightweight and unscathed by any swords of the highest calibre, constantly providing separation of the twin limbs. Only during the competition of battle, did the bow awaken the original purpose of its design the copies providing still; formidable agility to the user.

Yet few champions dared to wield even the fake materialization. Not for the fact they had few skills with the weapon itself as a genre, but having withdrawn information regarding the genocide it had withstood and the rumors, of it's corruption to the mind as you would tug on it's enlightened string. However, these were only believed by the foolish ilk. Serving a combat purpose in all aspects, yet to many Noxian accounts, recommendation of it's omnipotency wielded in Ionian hands only served as a taunt, or addle to their ranks. To Ionians the bow was a weapon worthy as remembrance of a great victory, and an honor to the League of Legends itself. Many having grown accustomed to using throwing projectiles or a sickly magical offense, the true bow yearned to find a dependable user... Which it soon did, as the eyes of the Freljordian master marksman, Ashe gave sight to the true weapon. As many would know, Ashe herself had been gifted with the so called "Eagles-eyes" or enhanced sight, able to view from faraway distances that of a scope could mimic.

Her reaction rate and quiver also provided phenomenal results alone without the assistance of a legendary bow. She could draw, aim and fire in such rapid sessions that it took for others to simply lift their weapon to trajectory. A perfect match of archer and bow, that was what many believed and were expecting to know... Until Ashe abandoned the option with little reasoning. She was one of few who understood the historical remnants the bow contained, she remembered the memories of the tragic war for Ionia and she swore herself to only use the original bow for a certain purpose, to avenge the many lost in the past, during the rematch for the southern Ionian continents. It hadn't been the first time the true Last Whisper had been rejected however, nearly decades had passed in it's shroud of ancient history that the first wielder himself had quickly rid the bow from his presence; only during a few weeks passing in his hands.

Nearing the 5th Rune War within the continent of Valoran, during the besiegement of Ionia from Noxian invaders, Master Bowyer Tezzai had finally gathered sufficient supplies for a master weapon, to honor the the gift of peace across their nation and the forming of the Institute of War a last hope to protect Runeterra from imminent doom. The design of the weapon had been thought by Demacian minds, sent into the harbor trade region of Navori in southern Ionia. It was here the unexpected occurred... During the dead of night, when the final applications had been made to the Last Whisper, the chimes of the clock tower rang in emergency. As the surprised militia fought to protect their land against the naval battalion of Noxian soldiers, they were outmatched in combat prowess. Blazes ran through the city, the heat and smoke rising into the cold of dusk. Cries of terror were matched with with the clanging of shield and sword, the remaining civilians fled northward.

This included Apprentice Bowyer and son to Tezzai, Asumu who was ushered into the crowd of fleeing villagers. He watched in utter horror and hatred as Tezzai was cut down just as the rest, the weapon he was devoted to for so long, held in his hands as a remaining memory. Asu was not about to let his nations pride fall, his fathers sacrifice to be in vain. Swearing an oath among others who demanded vengeance just as he did, it was only a few weeks afterwards that the Ionian Resistance grew and the clash between Noxus and Ionia would conclude. Present in the "Great Stand of the Placidium", Asumu himself having practiced with the bow found it endowed great potential to the user, he quickly learned skills of the bow in short time amongst other rangers. During the halt of the Noxian 2nd invasion headed northward to finish Ionia as a whole, Asumu grew to notice that the bow handed down amazing piercing empowerment to even the simplest arrows, as he cracked even the toughest plated steel.

However it was short-lived that he occupied the weapon... As he strung the bow to save the famed "Irelia, The Will of the Blades" from a Noxian spearmen nearly piercing her back. She only took a glimpse of reluctance to him which was swiftly converted to a yelp of warning, but it had been a reaction too late. She watched in shock as her savior was impaled by a dagger in his arteries, most likely belonging to the "Katarina Du Couteau, The Sinister Blade," a smirk spreading as she had finally cut down the marksman that had claimed much of her battalion.
Eventually as history took place towards the present, at the end of the battle Ionia had become victorious having pushed back the Noxian attackers. A proud flag was brought above, symbolizing Ionia's redemption of their lands. Asumu was one of the many fatally injured at the Placidium, his battered body lingered with few moments as he was met with Irelias stream of tears.

A hand clutched the Last Whisper to his left, another grasping at the dirk handle that pulsated in his pain. He beckoned for her to listen to his last whisper, "Take back... Ionia... Honor our people... Honor me, my father... Yourse-" He spoke weakly, his voice heaving as blood ran down his chin. Asumu could no longer continue his sentence, yet the message had been given; his eyes weary and fading. One last blink, as Irelia mourned for the loss of yet another great soldier of Ionia. Yet the weapons fate were now in the hands of one reliable. The decision was finally made to place the weapon in the Institute of War itself, provided it's protection and the great deal of historical fragments that were made from the outcome. Along with the Ionian Boots of Lucidity to honor the retaking of Ionia from Noxian hands, the Last Whisper was to become a relic of Tezzai and his son along with the many felled in battle as well as a symbol of the League of Legends creation.
