Why is banshee's disabled?

You know odyn's veil is going to just solidify 100 MR + health = invulnerable to magic damage that already occurs on SR. At least on SR if you get a void staff you can start hurting them again, 10% reduced damage you can't do a **** thing about is abusrd. And I say this as a tanky damage player who also plays kassadin (and realizes on BOTH sides how little burst-castes like kassadin can do to tanky damage.)

Riot needs to take a serious look at burst-casters and give them either higher ratios or lower cooldowns so their sustained damage can go up and they can fight tanky damage better. Udyr vs. Kassadin is a HILARIOUS fight. Udyr will never hit kassadin, but kassadin can't even budge udyr's HP.

Lets be real here. Odyn's veil + omen + another armor item + another armor item + a fourth armor item STILL leaves you pretty much immune to magic damage. It just ain't fair that some burst-casters are so specialized in burst (veigar being the worst one of them) that they can't even dent people that can survive the burst. Its even LESS fair when burst casters are nerfed down to be more fair to carries (KASSADIN) and then have their scaling so wrecked (by both cooldown and AP ratio nerfs in the same patch) that they do 20% of a tanky's HP ... every 8 seconds.

so what next move remove magic resist cuz it negates most power of some champions? when will you stop dumbing down the game and implement something than requires a bit of thinking rather than fast fingers?

btw @ the guy who said fiddle have only one cc which could break channelling is wrong, silence AND fear both break it

also if you think each champ needs hard cc to stop someone from capping (not like most champs HAVE some form of cc which should break channelling right?) why dont you just kill them

If anything this is improving the consideration you give your item tree rather than dumbing down the game. Banshee's Veil is an absolutely overpowered item that is a no-brainer on most champs as a catch-all defensive choice. There is literally no champion in the game who can't benefit immensely from it. It's probably the best defensive item in the game. Removing it makes people think more about what item they're going to get, because Banshee's is so good that you can get it against a 4/5 AD team and it will still be better than half the items in the game for defense due to residual magic damage and initiation prevention.

I think Odyn's is a less powerful solution to the need for magic resistance and health, and an activate ability usually makes an item more skill dependent.

EDIT: Anyway my original point was Odyn's is definitely much better suited for a skirmish-based game type, Banshee's Veil makes initiating terrifying and in Dominion you want to fight a lot.

I dont know about odyns being 10x stronger, would take alot of spell cast in a 45 sec window the equal the damage negated from blocking 1 spell. If the spell blocked by a banshees does 350 damage, you would have to take 3500 damage from spells over a 45 sec duration. I would much rather have the banshees.

Also i bet the channeling mechanic in dominion had some reason to shift this item. Karthus ult would not be a guaranteed stop of channeling otherwise.
