thanks.
spell vamp is essentially lifesteal, except for abilities instead of autoattacks
Also, an Admin should probably remove the dodge section now

According to the formula on the 1st post, damage should be really big when these get near -100, and shouldn't be able to get past it, but I tried with Soraka and got golem's magic resist to -190, and still it only took "-66% reduced damage".
And with 200 Armor, you get 66% damage reduction.

Notice the connection here; the values are the same in either direction.

More in detail.
What is actually happening.
Armor/(Armor+100).
This is how you calculate the reduction above 0.
Below 0, the calculation is 2 - (100/(100-Armor))
This is also true for MR

Now, it's accurate to say that each point of armor you have is a 1% increase to your total lifespan against that type of damage (when you have 100 armor, you have a 50% damage reduction, because it's "doubling" your life. At 200 armor, it's a 66% reduction, or 300% life, etc).
I'm not sure the correct turn of phrase for a similar effect for negatives (as saying "it counts as a 1% decrease to your life" doesn't really make sense past 100 shred)

Epic information! Thank you very much for taking the time to explain in detail. This is an absolutely amazing breakdown for new players like myself.

Off the topic.Q: Vi's Ult_ makes her immune to C.C. True? C.C. is it not the basics of AoE? Any thing that involves slowing, stunning, lock down, pop ups, etc. . . Serving a stun to Vi as she initiates her ult. Would not stop her ult from doing it's job but after? That is the stun is still active when she has finished doing her ult. Would she be stunned?

One more Q: Could Darius grab Vi out of her ult.?

If Vi is stunned before she uses Assault and Battery, she can't use it. If she's hit while it's in effect, she's immune to the stun. Assault and Battery can't interrupt crowd control currently in effect (you need Quicksilver Sash or Cleanse for that).

I don't know. It's worth testing.

No, Darius grab cannot pick her out of ult, she is immune to any cc no matter who it is or what they're throwing it out. The only possible way to stop vi's ult is to kill her while she's ulting, which is very difficult. So make sure you don't flash/use your escape until after she's landed and brought you down, unless of course you're flashing back into your team, putting her very far away from here team, to be able to blow her up away from her team.
