Yes, but his sustained damage is so much above and beyond other ranged carries, it's not a little better, it's significantly better that his other weaknesses can be ignored. His base hp is much higher than most other casters/ranged other than Vlad. Also with a much larger range. I mean, even if a tank steps into your range, and you can drop him solo in about 4 seconds, literally. 2.5 attack speed doing 12% of your max health in magic damage + 200 in physical damage

Only weakness to his dps, is because it comes from Madreds and his W, it's a bit weaker against towers and buildings. They buffed the range on his slow last patch, and lowered the cooldown this patch, and it is a very good teamfight slow for certain.

Not to mention, during any sort of standoff, you can poke better than any with your ult, and force something to happen as they get chipped away at.

Also Morgana is support, why compare Kog'maw to her at all? Kog'maw is a ranged dps carry. Also Kayle's ult is 3 seconds. And Kog'maws slow > Kayle's slow in both it's a team damage and slow, doing about the same damage. Longer range too. And the slow stays on the ground, so if it is fired in the direction they need to go, duration is longer too.

TL;DR: It's the meta, tanky champs, Kog'maw destroys tanky champs just as quickly as squishies.

His sustained DPS is still worse than Tristana's fyi. He has no real steroid skill, no CC, is extremely gold dependent, and is veeeeery slow to start off and pretty easy to shut down. With a good initiator he drops super fast, and CC straight up breaks him.

He's better now, but he's not amazing, and personally I see him as T3. We'll see if I'm proven wrong, but no Kog'maw has ever truly impressed me, in game or on one of the livestreams.

I have never more strongly agreed with Elementz on anything than what he wrote for Urgot.

I tried to tell people on the TR. =/

Also, Kog'Maw goes from trash tier to top of tier 2 when all the patch gave him was a free pair of Beserker Boots (coupled with losing half a Last Whisper, after whatever level it is you max his Q, a decent buff), 1 second off his slow, and 5 seconds off his W (the biggest buff). Not bloody likely.

He was way undervalued to begin with. The patch simply made Elementz and others give him a second look and realize they were off on their initial assessment and/or were playing him wrong.

Now that Koggles has had a boost from last patch, what have people been doing for a skill order?

Yea, played Urgot about 10 times, and realized he was trash. Fun, but so woefully inadequate.

Increased autoattack range with 6% max health damage (+1% for every 100 AP) on his W, and a passive 30% increased attack speed on his Q (and reduced target armor on activate on target) aren't steroid skills?

Dryesias, how do you build Kog'maw skill-wise?
