From what we've seen about Dominion, it reminds me of the faction battles in Guild Wars. Sorry I forget the real name, It has been some time since I loaded up that game. The kurzrick vs Luxon I think is their names. The whole capture certain waypoints increases the pace at which points are acquired. The more people are defending the slower / harder it is to capture such shrines.

Anyway the concept seems very very similar to how it seems Dominion is going to work. Was this actually the inspiration for Dominion / has your time at Arena Net Morello play any role in how Dominion was designed?

I thought the Faction battles were fun the way they were designed, and there was a few different maps for this mode. Is there any chance we could see more maps to this mode? Or is keeping it to one something you want to stick to?

Also, what does this mean for the competitive scene of LoL? Will dominion take over as the leading competitive mode or will SR keep that title? Perhaps both modes will be played competitively? Im just curious about this. -edit- Will there be a ranked ladder for Dominion also?

Lastly, Brackhar and Geeves, will you guys be creating more fun innovative champs once Dominion is fully finished? I tend to find your champs the most fun. Except Singed..he is the most fun champs hands down imo, sorry =P

Not really - I helped a little on Dominion, but Capture Point gameplay has been seen in a lot of iterations, just not really in a proper MOBA before. We did take a look at what worked and what didn't in other games, as well as trying out a lot of systems to make it work in League of Legends specifically.

Alliance battles (what you call faction battles, SUCKED, it was either everyone in one mob killing off nodes or a counter strategy to that, which was everyone gets a **** load of ms, splits up, and captures nodes wherever the big mob isn't
