I have read the whole help & support section, re-installed twice now. And it won't start up. All it does is showing that dumb splash screen and exit.

Has League of Legends ever worked on that particular PC? If so, when did this issue started happening? Were there any recent changes to the system?

Ah yes... the dreaded System Restore... Try the following:

  • Delete
    • everything inside C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\downloads
    • lol_air_client and lol_air_client_config_na inside C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects
  • Restart the computer.
  • Run League of Legends in Administrator Mode.

Done that and it won't even start up. It shows that splash screen and not the launcher.

Try doing this (slightly different):

  • Delete
    • everything inside C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\downloads
    • lol_air_client and lol_air_client_config_na inside C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects
    • everything inside C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions
  • Restart the computer.
  • Run League of Legends in Administrator Mode.

Be aware this will delete all your logs and screenshots. Back them up if you want to keep them before doing this. You may need to redo your Masteries as well.
