if we did one of those compilation stories game. Well, where you pick what to write about write a few paragraphs leave it at a cliffhanger then the other person picks up and writes more. And it can be totally random or whatever. I did that in a Creative Writing class years back it was a lot of fun. W4ddleBuff has to participate I'm a new fan of his lol. Especially of his Ahri work. It's funny 'cause my name is Ari people get a kick out of that since I play her. I main her mid and she's totally awesome. Ah but anyway the only thing is how we're gonna come up with the plot devices I'm not sure. But I hope everyone likes this idea.

There should be a few rules too, like maybe in roleplay, no random champion grow the strongest kill everyone things like that that would definitely ruin the fun. No M rated of course lol. No unnecessary cursing, cursing is fine but every other sentence ruins the flow of the story. Well you dont have to agree to that one, but I dont think I'm gonna be using the characters saying the f word every other line lol. Ah anything else anyone can think of? The more rules the more of a challenge right? This would be fun.

i've tried it before. what usually happens is that the styles conflict with each other, and the writing quality greatly differs.

great if you want a paragraphy story that is just full of jokes and giggles, and see how ridiculous it can get without being absurd, but if you want a proper story its not going to work.

you must remember that in your writing class everyone already has certain standards and expectations, while in a public forum like this anyone can and will post.

I guess well, thats why it would be only people who are serious with it like, who has an interest in writing. That's a bummer though.

Ya, 7/10 people won't take it seriously and just trash the story first chance they get. (Ahri has epic fight with Ezreal or something then some guy turns it into a porno the next moment). It's why people make their own fanfiction, so nobody can mess with their work. I mean, you can TRY but something tells me it's goina have to have some super strict rules (or even be invitational).

Also if you write half a novel only to find out somebody changed the whole story before you finished typing, it gets frustrating.

But ya, if you still wanna try it, lay down the ground rules, draw the line at what's unacceptable, etc.

We did try this a long time ago and it just didn't work. Everyone's schedules conflicted and it became really hard to get anything done. Also, everyone had a lot of different ideas and we started to pair off in groups to work on said ideas. Even though most of them got written, none of them connected because they all took place at different times. So, conflicting ideas with a bunch of separate pieces of the story made it difficult along with everyone wanting to work on their own stories as well. Soon people started dropping and the whole idea just kinda flopped. That wasn't to mention some of the internal conflicts of the group that also arose when you have different writers wanting to do their own things.

If you're going to try this, get a small group. 5 should be the max, and make sure you do the story in a chronological order. Don't start writing bits that happen later on or you won't get anything posted. Also, make sure your group can all work at the same time and schedule times for writing. It's a tough thing to do and there is the possibility that you won't get out what you put into it.
