"Not in cruelty
Not in wrath
The REAPER came today
An ANGEL visited
this gray path
And took the manatee away."

"Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
Urf had food and maybe fishes.
And immortality."

"Though earth and man are gone,
I thought Urf would last forever.
I was WRONG."

The Manatee-Metaknight

Great Manatee, who made you
Do you know who made you,
gave you life, and bid you fight
By the stream and in the bush;
Gave you spatula of blight,
Hardy Fishy, terror of night;
Gave you such a tender voice,
Making all the ocean rejoice?
Great manatee, who made you?
Do you know who made you?

Great Manatee, I'll tell you;
Great Manatee, I'll tell you;
He is not called by one name,
For he calls himself Riot
he is strong, and he is dread,
And for that you now are dead.
I a gamer, and you a Manatee,
We both play by his rules.
Great Manatee, rest in peace!
Great Manatee, rest in peace!

The Warwick- Metaknight also

Warwick! Warwick! Jungle's Blight
In the forest with your might,
What mortal man or beast
Could deny you the right to feast?
In what dread land or sea
Did you first conspire to be?
With what claws did you shred?
On what poor soul were you fed?
And what throat and what Heart,
Did you tear out before the start?
And when his life ceased to beat,
What cursed hands? and what cursed feet?

What did you smell? What caused the pain?
For what reason was the manatee maimed?
Was it for good reason?
Or was it devilish fun?

When the star-children struck you down,
Depriving you of the mercenaries crown,
Did you let your beastly nature take hold?
Did you let your human heart go cold?

Warwick! Warwick! Jungle's Blight
In the forest with your might,
What mortal man or beast
Could deny you the right to feast?

Though dead in the earth he be,
We rather he dead in the sea,
Though to meet such a fate,
Outstrips motor blades,
Cruel fate of so many manatees.

May you ride upon the big blue watery road to greener pastures.

It's hard to describe my feelings right now.
a part of me died along with the passing of Urf.
I do not blame it on warick for it is in his nature to kill, Urf was just another prey fell to the infinite duress.
a part of me wants to play warick and see that happy manatees appear once again before our eyes.
I wish Urf will look down and smile as his image will last forever in the forests of TT and SR.

Alas! Urf the Manatees. your skin will be in our hearts and on a wolf. How I once dreamed of swimming with you in the deep blue sea, freely swinging the spatula of doom in the face of the ones claim themselves "champions", while you are the true champion of the sea and the people.

Sadly every champion is destined to fall, so here we are in your memories as you are in ours.

Urf,

There once was a manatee named Urf,
But Warwick went "Get off my turf",
He ulted his face,
Then stole his place,
Now Warwick is the one who can surf.

A poem for Urf:

sea cow who we loved
quickly torn by evil claws
now rests on the wolf

I thought in tribute to Urf, RIP April 1, 2010, I would construct a limerick that shares his final moments:

There once was a champ named Urf
Who spent his time off the turf
With no clairvoyance
he started to dance
And thus he was ganked off this earth

A brief yet powerful haiku to summarize the tragic events that took place today.

As warwick leaps from the bushes
the sea cow let out a cry
Yi is terrible.

Initially, the news shocked me and earlier in this thread there is a poem I've written. We do all we can to mourn the passing of one beloved to us, and this is admirable.

However, this is a farce. To try and make this a commercial endeavour, to offer prizes to those who claim to mourn him - we do not honour Urf. We spit on his memory, his ideals and his very way of life.

Urf was a child by manatee standards, ideas of war, conflict and fight still dramatized tussles in which no one was hurt. His demise is an atrocity, and I feel contempt for Warwick, and shame that I ever liked Warwick myself. To truly honour Urf, all we need to do is remember. And never forget.
