If so, then the whole bracketing system is flawed, not just this minor switch. Just think if the Bulls had to play the 76ers and the Heat played the Pacers instead of the other way around. I would venture to say we would get the same results.
EG didn't play in as many events during Season 1 so they didn't accumulate as many points to be seeded higher. It's not comparable to the NBA in that regard because every team plays 82 games in the regular season and playoff seeding is based on your record.

It's a problem with the scene. It's very small, there aren't many teams at the top level. 3 of the top 8 = tier one teams, the other 5 are just there for fun basically.

Furthermore epikgamer did well early, then basically didn't exist as a competitive team for quite a while... then when the rules changed and there was suddenly a dreamhack qualifier, they replace 3/5 of their players with top ones. So the fact they are better than being 7th seed would suggest is related to the fact that the team that earned 7th seed isn't really the one playing.

The matchups would be different elton brand on boozer which would have shut him down so your comparison was stupid.

Why does HotShotGG cares SO MUCH about what happens with TSM? CLG got destroyed by them already, if TSM had played versus EG, they would have won anyways. A much better match, yeah, but TSM would't have lost.

Not a fanboy but HS has a right to be angry. EG's team roster changed before this.. westrice, doublift are now part of EG. Why is everyone so blind to this fact?

the 7th seed is either the 2nd or 3rd best team in NA, depending on who you ask. CLG earned #1 seed, and instead of playing #8 seed Riot made them play the 2nd/3rd best team in the tourny.
