"skill" "timing" they just love these words, but they were talking about how Nocturns duskbringer needed a nerf because it was just making him too powerful, so they removed 5 damage from it... this is actually pretty cool in my book, small changes over time to make sure they aren't making any mistakes...

but what about skills that actually effect the flow of the game?! Healing debuffs, shield duriations, the blind effect from exhaust, do they just not like the fact that people can do things and see results more significant then dps? Whenever I played a healer, Katarina was a bit of a soft counter against me because she could only apply the healing debuff every once in awhile, but it would last long enough for them to actually capitalize on her using it. Now it'll be little more then a minor inconvinience. Where's that "small changes over time" mentality where it would actually matter? Instead we have Nocturn, "ooh nooo he's so OP, ban him from every ranked match!" "okay we'll slightly, sliiiiiightly lower his damage in a specific context", so much so people will hardly notice.

I'm sick of this, either they aren't putting as much thought into things as they think they are, or they aren't being honest about their objectives. I have half a mind to wonder if they're purposefully trying to phase out old champions so we're forced to buy new ones just to stay competitive, because some old champs are now barely capable of doing what they were supposed to be designed to do.

Are you saying that when a business ****s up and causes you a delay, you never complain? Obviously I'm going to go do something else, but if I have my car in the shop and they say the work is going to be done on Tuesday, and then on Tuesday they tell me Wednesday, and then on Wednesday they tell me Friday, I'm gonna be pissed.

So that brings us back to the main point, "but it's a free game." As I said, that is a HUGE misconception in the community. Riot chose a business strategy that would be most profitable. Having the game be free to play makes them more money than they would've made otherwise, by increasing their userbase by over 9000 times. They make more money from selling in-game content than they would from charging a monthly fee. It's a business. Do you really think that they're sitting down there in Cali saying, "oh guys, we could be making way more money, but I think we shouldn't because that wouldn't be very nice."

So, in summary, Riot is NOT infallible (or generous). They ARE a business. And it IS fair to hold them to the same standards you would hold any other business.

Thank you for your time, I'm glad I could enlighten some people.
You're completely off on your analogy. They are a business that GIVES their product away for FREE, and you can choose to buy things if u don't wanna just work for every char. Skins are purely aesthetic. So its NOT AT ALL like taking your car into a garage. Its like you walk up to the FREE ARCADE, and complain, gripe, moan cuz they took an extra few hours for them to install MORE ARCADES.
