Tiamat is highly underrated. If your damage is normally a melee autoattack, Tiamat can get you to clear lanes quickly.

Try it out on melee DPS champions, use it if you like it.

The problem with Tiamat is 5-fold.

1: the proc area is very small, which makes it difficult to leverage
2: the mana regeneration on it is also very small; so much so that it's almost unnoticeable
3: you have to stack the item to get enough out of it; at least two, but usually three
4: it's an item that's designed to help champions farm, but it costs enough gold that it sets you back -- by the time you get this item and begin working on making up the lost gold, your champion should be able to farm waves easily without it
5: for damage, it's the same as filling your inventory with BF swords that don't upgrade into anything

It's a neat item, but it's just got too many issues. Certain champions might be able to utilize what it does better than others, but it just seems like the kind of item that would work better on TT rather an SR due to quicker games encouraging the use of mid-tier items.

Kayle,
It stacks with her E, but it is way too easy an item to replace with a more useful one. If you use it for farming it is quite strong, but the gold cost is bull.

I like to use it with Nasus because I think it helps with his life steal against minions, but people say its a bad choice. *shrugs*

This. It has some amusing uses, but nothing especially viable. Gangplank's Parrley, Ezreal's Mystic Shot, Twitch when combined with Spray and Pray, as well as a few other instances can make it exceptionally amusing, but it's an overall weak item.

Really, the big problem is it's a farming/laning item that takes too long to actually build - by the time you build it, you don't need it. If Riot added a mid-late game focused, upgraded version of Tiamat that it could be built into, it might see more legitimate use.

Garbage items needs non-damage buff.

+3% move speed or 1/5 gold imo

It can work wonders on AD sion if you are hardcore life farming with E from start. If enemy team has enough AD then mix tiamat with sunfire cape (skip sunfire if they dont have enough AD and go for atmas) and you become a life farming machine.

Then at end game after you've gotten to 4k+ health with all your farming and the HP on sunfire make sure to grab atmas and if they have AP force of nature until game ends.

It's actually pretty decent on Tanky AD Poppy. She benefits a lot from regen, and the proc makes her capable of actually clearing minion waves. The trouble is fitting it in in a reasonable amount of time.
