Maokai is the new tanky AP that doesn't get banned.

Good by Cho, hello tree.

He's just another support tank like Galio that got a huge buff. It'll be gone before you know it, so try not to waste 975 RP or 6,300 IP until you're in the clear. =P

I bought him when he was released, because I knew Cho and Sion would eventually get nerfed, and Maokai is the replacement for them as tanky AP.

Am I missing something? The nerfs don't seem to be that bad for Cho

The thing that made Cho good was that you could get a Mejai's and an Abyssal and eventually help carry.

The ratio and base damage nerfs hurt that strategy quite a bit.

The only option now is stacking health like normal and either getting Atma's or doing health/mana hybrid and getting Atma's and Manamune to help carry.
